There must be a bi-polar ping list that's enacted every time a glitch occurs. You'll learn to recognize the symptons. They go from "We're kicking ass!!!" to "We are DOOMED"...on the same thread. It's amazing to watch. Scary, but amazing.

Now I know why the mainstream media and the Left are afraid of the internet...and want to have control over it.

And thats why they call it a SURPRISE.
To: Cincinatus' Wife
President Bush has got to start having Press Conferences or just making statements; to counter the lies told by Kerry campaign. Not enough to discover the lie; it has to be taken head on. . .
Bush must tell the truth to the American people; get it out there. . .special announcement from the President!' . . .and everyday until this frickin election!
He has the 'bully pulpit'; he has every reason to use it. IMHO!

Truth be told, how could President Bush himself be responsible even as Commander-in-Chief, if the ammunition dump was looted?
If that's the October surprise, it's pretty weak IMO.
You could fault the field generals, but not President Bush.

Right. And the minute he takes you up on that suggestion people will rightly assume he is on defense and Kerry must have the momentum in this race. Ergo, fence jumpers switch their votes to kerry.

I believe that they're thinking about it. Probably sometime next week would be my guess.
Like maybe Wednesday or Thursday?
I am so ****ing sick of these clowns in the RNC who can't even seem to use the simple truth effectively.
My question for President Bush and Ed Gillespie on Wednesday will be: now that you've snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, what do you wish you would have told Americans about John Kerry? His alliance with the communist dictator Daniel Ortega while Reagan was fighting them? John Kerry's treasonous lies and accusations of war crimes in Vietnam? Kerry's own admission to said war crimes? The unclassified FBI documents linking Kerry directly to the North Vietnamese propaganda ministry? Kerry's position against the death penalty for the terrorists who bombed the WTC?

Fascinating to watch the Lord frustrate the plans of his domestic enemies.

Well, my gut feeling is that the sKerry campaign screwed the pooch on this one. First, the press let it out too soon (I am still not sure WHY the NYT trumped CBS on this) and the campaign comes out the day after with a full blown commercial? People are NOT stupid. .. ok, so MOST people are not stupid.... and will notice this as strange.
Also, they didn't bother to check to make sure no one had already done a story on this (duh!) that would debunk it. Add to that the fact that a UN organization relesed the "breaking" news and most folks will see this for what it is.
One other factoid the dims probably didn't count on is what this will do to energize the Republican base. I for one don't care if I have to stand in line all day to vote, I will bere there and a lot of folks I know feel the same way. I think that the base (FINALLY) has seen the light and realizes that this crap MUST be stopped at the ballot box. We far outnumber all of the dead union guys and illegal immigrants they can scrape up.
I think this one will bite not only the dims in the arse, but the MSM as well. CBS might as well scrap the whole operation and start over, 'cause Danny boy and company are TOAST!

Someone here referred to the MSM as "the media arm of the DNC." I like that.

This is the best point! Your right. Who was supposed to be watching these weapons? The UN? Sadaam? The media is making Bush's case for going in even better by hyping this story. I hope they all implode on themselves.
