I don't know much about the lawsuit filed against him, but there are plenty of folks who would lie about something like that to take down someone like O'Reilly. That said, I have never cared much for O'Reilly. I find him extremely arrogant and I disagree with about half of his commentary. I tried his radio show out when it first came on the air and periodically after that. I could never listen more than about five minutes because the guy always made negative comments about conservatives in his apparent desire to come across as "fair and balanced".

Is there a connection between Westwood one and CBS? If this is the case we wont be hearing much about the stockpile story in Iraq being misrepresented reported by O'Reilly.

I read his novel and while I enjoyed it, I thought he put to much of himself in it - not the cop but the fired news guy. Thought it was BO's revenge fantasy.

O'Reilly never was a conservative..........he'll be the first to tell you.
To: 7thson
O'Reilly was trying to suck up to Kerry to get him on the show. Lighter treatment of leftist BS was the order of the day for the last few months. One example is his supposed "debunking" of the swift boat vets. He got burned. Good.
Also viewers last night didn't only get a look at the sad O'Reilly's Kerryless Kerry interview, but also got to see his anger when he announced Hannity's interview with President Bush. He didn't go off, but you could see it in his face.

Fox News Bill O'Reilly Admits His Liberalism and Democrat tilt
Wire Reports/The Spokesman-Review | 9-25-2004 | Unknown

On Sunday's "60 Minutes" during which he is interviewed by longtime CBS newscaster Mike Wallace, Fox News Commentator Bill O'Reilly comes out with some surprising comments. He says he is pro-gun control, anti-death penalty, for civil unions and for gay adoption, (as a last resort instead of state custody). And he won't necessarily vote for President Bush in November.
I've known (Democratic presidential nominee John) Kerry for 25 years. He's a patriot. I'm listening to what he has to say," O'Reilly says.

I have a bypass switch on my digital converter so I can record a show while watching another one. Sometimes my digital converter stays on Fox news channel for days at a time (not due to recording the news) while I switch the tv to watch another channel. I guess that produces overrated fox news viewership, including O'Reilly.

The point is not what was in the interview but the concept of having one in the first place. Did he do Howard Dean like this? No! Does he do a Bill Clinton or Hillary? No! In order to be "fair" he lets clowns come on and present the liberal viewpoint even when the main liberal does not want to come on there. The talking points get out without the main contender breaking a sweat. Later on, the main man can say "I didn't say that, so-and-so said that." It was false and smarmy!

I haven't been able to watch him or stomach him regularily for sometime now. Seems like he recycles the same old guests. He fails to get good interviews anymore. Recently, I watched him with Anne Coulter and got creeped out by his behavior. He is done.

Bill cannot stand the fact that the left will not "honor" his show - therefore, all the pandering to the left.
His goal was to get Kerry on the show. Did not happen and in the pursuit, Bill has shown that he too wants to be in the elitist media circles.
An awful lot of times I do not agree with Bill. He does not inspire trust because there are so many undercurrents.

I will no longer watch O'Reilly. He is not conservative and he is obnoxious. I turned him off last night when he began that interview which was supposed to be with candidate Kerry, but since Kerry refused, he used surrogates. And to think that Kerry went on "Hardball" instead, competition to O'Reilly! O'Reilly is more than I can take.
