XXXXX DRUDGE REPORT XXXXX MON OCT 25 2004 22:45:05 ET XXXXX
NBCNEWS: CACHE OF EXPLOSIVES VANISHED FROM SITE IN IRAQ BEFORE TROOPS ARRIVED...
The NYTIMES urgently reported on Monday in an apprent October Surprise: The Iraqi interim government and the U.N. nuclear agency have warned the United States that nearly 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives are now missing from one of Iraq's most sensitive former military installations.
[The source behind the NYT story first went to CBSNEWS' 60 MINUTES last Wednesday, but the beleaguered network wasn't able to get the piece on the air as fast as the newspaper could print. Executive producer Jeff Fager hoped to break the story during a high-impact election eve broadcast of 60 MINS on October 31.]
ditto -
heads up. Pray for me and I'll pray for you.
And we will both pray for the direction of our country.
Thanks, it sounds like a good plan.
I'm with you--a lot going on in my life as well.
What I can't figure out is which is making me nervous, and which is the distraction. LOL!!!
No! I'm not handling it that well myself!
Whoops. The New York Times f***ed up again.
Gee, and you wonder why I still think the Prague connection is for real.
I think the embedded NBC reporter's story that the NY Times story is a bunch of BUNK is doing that job quite well. Team Kerry can't very well call NBC a right wing organization that will lie for the President, can it?
Yeah, I was proud too for only a second... NBC is hardly rushing to the rescue... From Drudge yesterday (http://www.drudgereport.com/nbcw.htm):
**ABCNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 4 Times
**CBSNEWS Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 7 Times
**MSNBC Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 37 Times
**CNN Mentioned The Iraq Explosives Depot At Least 50 Times
But according to Drudge, NBC reported this only ONCE:
"But tonight, NBCNEWS reported: The 380 tons of powerful conventional explosives were already missing back in April 10, 2003 -- when U.S. troops arrived at the installation south of Baghdad!"
NBC needed to report this many more times if it wanted to undue any of the damage done. Don't know what, if anything, NBC has reported so far today.
Well, will it be released?
If this is true, appalling does not do it justice.
Journalism is about releasing information to the public when you can do so, not about holding until it can do the most damage to a candidate.
That is bias, clear as day.
Words fail me here.
Well, I doubt he found out about it until after the fact.
So, they can run with this report on election eve, and that is okay, but Les Moonves won't wind up the investigation into the forged TANG memos until after the election because it might "have an impact"?
I can't wait to see what happens to the media after Bush wins.
Perhaps the monopoly will be destroyed.
BTTT
The MSM & liberals have an omelet on their collective faces this A.M.
Mc Curry, he's defending it today. it doesn't matter that they were gone BEFORE we got there, we should have got there FASTER. What an ASS.
That, my friend is a no sh!tter.

I think it's clear 60 minutes plans to try to hurt Dubya on 10/31. They've shown they're not above manufacturing something. I think we need to watch 60 minutes on 10/31 in an attempt to hold them accountable for whatever they report.
OMG! They're nuts!
A senior Bush official e-mailed DRUDGE late Monday: "Let me get this straight, are Mr. Kerry and Mr. Edwards now saying we did not go into Iraq soon enough? We should have invaded and liberated Iraq sooner?"
They are running around like chickens with their heads cut off. (sorry Peta)(sarc) If it weren't so dangerous, it would be funny. There are plenty in the idiot class that will not care about the truth.
