Because I believe in the power of prayer and because I have seen it work when FReepers gather in His name, I am asking for prayer for a dear friend of my son.
From what I can gather, Kristen O was injured yesterday at Montrose MX track during a race. She rushed onto the track to help a downed rider, her boyfriend (also my son's close friend), and was struck in the head by an oncoming dirt bike. Her injuries are serious. Again, from what reports I have heard, she is in Duke Medical Center with bleeding in/on her brain and she is on a respirator. I do not know specifics nor do I know her prognosis.
My son and I would ask that all who will join us in prayer for this young lady and those who know her as well as the young rider ( Brandon )who hit her. Kristen graduated this past Spring with my son and they have been great friends for some time.
Kristen is a lovely young lady who has so much to offer. Her parents have been very good to my son. Her boyfriend is a dear kid to me as well. If you are so inclined please remember this young lady in prayer. Thank you & God Bless.

I will ask the good Lord to watch over Kristin and to guide her medical team ----and to ease Brandon concerns. Really tragic! Please keep us posted. We care.
