"Kerry is doing a desperate night rally in Michigan tonight!"

His midnight rally thirty minutes after the close of the RNC Convention was SUCH a hit (NOT.) He looked totally plastered, remember? May his rally tonight be as big a success. Bwahaahaaa.

LOSER.

Kerry spending so much time defending Blue states

It's the only place where he can draw a crowd of any size. Like Clinton, he's all about image.

I heard on Rush today that the latest poll from Hawaii has the President leading. Any verification out there? The locations that are seeing campaign stops should tell everyone where the race stands. Without the fraud machine the Rats have in motion this would be shades of '84.

but the same loophole that allows absentee ballots to be cast early allows for early voting at the polls.

It still doesn't change the fact that voting fraud on the part of the dims is what prompted it.

Actually the laws that stop campaigning at polling stations don't apply to early voting in Florida.

no way he takes Iowa, Wisconsin, Ohio and Minnesota. Kerry loses ground in one as he moves to the other. Bush is going to sweep from the top of the Miss. River to the Bottom and all the way east to PA.

"Yep. Something tells me if Kerry were REALLY ahead, he'd be spending most of his time the last week of the campaign trying to go to as many Red States as possible. Instead, he's STILL playing defense. If he has to defend what he should have already locked down, bottom line - this is not a candidate who's set to win next week folks."

You only have to win by one. Kerry indeed may be playing defense protecting what may be a slim electoral victory (in his mind.) I'm for W for sure, just offering an alternative thought to "runnin' scared"..

not only that but the story quickly becomes about Clinton. Kerry doesn't get 100% of the story line, it becomes more about Bubba.

From that it's a fairly simple process to play "jeopardy," pose the answer in the form of a question, and extrapolate back what the polls are telling them.

like..what is a candidate's position in Colorado when they cut back ads and cancel a scheduled rally?

Especially if they have to yank Clinton out to campaign in Philly. Philly is pretty much like Bush campaigning in Houston so doenst make sense

Because, IMHO, Clinton wouldn't have shown up somewhere where they couldn't gurantee the huge, adoring crowd that the city of Philly was happy to provide. A huge crowd (between 80,000 and 100,000 according to FOX) also guaranteed great coverage and made them look good to the rest of the folks.

Gore Didn't win CO in 2000... but almost won the election anyway... Thus Kerry doesn't need to win CO... So he isn't going to try... Hes going to spend that money somewhere else... What tells us more is WHERE he sees he has to spend that money... much of it going to states Gore carried in 2000...

That's what I mean. I think Bush takes MN, IA, and WI, which means Kerry has to take both Ohio and Florida, which IMHO Kerry can't do. Kerry's schedule betrays that he's worried about just this happening.

Via email:

Dear -----,

Tomorrow is one week from Election Day. The task for Phone Corps now is to turn out volunteers for Get Out The Vote (GOTV) events.

This weekend, Monday, and Election Day are the days when tens of thousands of volunteers will work to pull in thousands of infrequent voters. We're relying on the Phone Corps once again to turn out these volunteers. Get a new batch of calls here:

http://calls.johnkerry.com

What you're going to find this week is that it's much easier to recruit volunteers. People feel the intensity of the election. They know how close it is. They're hearing on the news every day that just a handful of votes will decide everything. Use the call center to tell Kerry-Edwards supporters that THEY can make all the difference by working one afternoon this weekend, or by taking off Election Day and helping out at the polls.

You've done so much already. We've got one week to go. You're making history. Keep it up!

Thanks for all you do,

Josh Hendler
