Saturday: The President gave his weekly radio address and campaigned in four Florida locations. Pictures from Melbourne, FL rally. Remarks by the President at Victory 2004 Rally (plus photos from this weekends rally) [New Mexico].
Sunday: Rudy Giuliani and his wife Judith Nathan stayed with the Bushes in Waco. They campaigned in New Mexico.
Monday: Bush campaigned in Colorado.
Enjoy your visit to Sanity Island.
I'd love the meatloaf recipe, as long as it's Atkin's friendly. :-)
Thank you !!!
Praying, praying, praying for a land slide for Bush/Cheney.
Love them both !!
**LOVE that picture of Cheney in jeans. Wow.**
I think they suit him make him look softer "in a manly way" and as I mentioned before make him look slimmer.
One more week till we re-elect Bush/Cheney! Yippie!
I sincerely hope but I am nervous
When was this??? I would love to see that thread. I started lurking in April of 2003 and did not sign up until April of this yr. I stumbled on the DAy in the life of President Bush in NOvember of 2003. That in large part was the reason I finally signed up to become a freeper. I found the thread on Thanksgiving day because of our wonderful President's surprise visit to Baghdad. I should have signed up that day, but because my computer skills are so appalling, I was afraid too!! I hope mystery-ak's husband is safe.
last week was the worst!
I just wish it was all over that is providing it is a clear win for Bush/Cheney I dread a repeat of 2000.
I don't know about you, but thia has got to be the worse election (excepting 2000) that I have ever lived through!
He was in Iraq for a long time as his unit's deployment was extended more than once. They talked on the Dose -- and with us -- lots over the course of that time. mystery_ak would know the exact dates but IIRC he returned in the spring of this year. He's home, safe and sound at last report. Also, ohioWfan's son was deployed there and the Dosers spent a lot of time praying for them, their units, and all our soldiers in harm's way.
It was really helpful to hear directly from Mike and Eric (ohioW's son) how things were going day to day.
Gig 'em
Meatloaf (Atkins-friendly)
Oven 350 F about 1 hour
6-8 servings
1.5 lbs. ground beef
3/4 to 1 C grated cheese (your choice of flavor)
2 beaten eggs
1 8-oz. can seasoned tomato sauce*
1/2 C. chopped onion (or more to taste)
2 T. chopped green pepper (optional)
1-1/2 t. salt
1 medium bay leaf, crushed
Dash thyme
Dash marjoram
1. Combine all ingredients; mix well.
2. Shape mixture into loaf in shallow baking dish.
3. Press two-green-pepper rings and an onion ring atop meat loaf if desired.
4. Bake at 350 F about 1 hour.
*Perhaps all tomato sauce is about the same, but I use Hunt's, which has a very low amount of carb and sugar grams
I imagine so! We had some friends whose son was in Iraq. When he came back he told us all of his experiences. He said it was not anything like it was being portrayed. Of course it was scary, as any war zone, etc. would be, but that a large majority of the Iraqis were friendly, grateful and truly kind to the military. Yet the insurgencies are what the media likes to talk about.
That is exactly what Mike, Eric, and other FReepers and their deployed relatives said.
Disgusting how low our media have sunk.
Always been that way but not as much as this year's election.
To the song "Heartland" By George Stright.
When you hear twin fiddles and a steel guitar
You're listenin' to the sound of the American heart
And opry music on a Saturday night Brings a smile to your face
and a tear to your eye
Sing a song about the Heartland
The only place I feel at home
Sing about the way a good man Works until the daylight's gone
Sing the rain on the roof on a summer night Where they still know wrong from right
Sing a song about the Heartland Sing a song about my life
Our President is awesome!
Wouldn't be prudent for the Ags to lose.
