Bush Beats Kerry in IQ Head-to-Head (not surprisingly)

IQ Test: Bush outshines Kerry CHIDANAND RAJGHATTA

TIMES NEWS NETWORK[ MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 2004 04:16:38 PM ] Washington: President Bush is not a bozo; in fact, he may be a near-brainiac.

An American researcher has challenged popular belief and water cooler jokes about Bush's cerebral limitations by arguing - on the basis of available records - that he is not only smart but has a higher IQ than his rival John Kerry.

Based on various academic and military school records including his SAT score (1206), conservative columnist Steve Sailer has calculated that Bush's IQ is between 125 and 130.

That would put him in the "very superior intelligence" category and in the 95th percentile, which means only one out of 20 people would score higher.

In comparison, similar (but not same) records and tests suggest John Kerry's IQ is only around 120, says Sailer in a commentary on the conservative blog www.vdare.com.

Sailer looked at school records and tests both men took when there were enrolling into the US military at age 22 and extrapolated the results to arrive his conclusion.

Because Bush does not talk in a elitist, condiscending way like Kerry does.

Pontificating in a manner reminiscent of Jin-jis Khan?

I should say, I know it, but I'm so sure of the accuracy of the story.

How so?

If you don't have anything intelligent to say, SAY IT LOUDER.

Liberals that I know are very adept at giving off subtle signals that they will get mad if you say anything that comes close to contradicting them.

They rely on Non-Liberals to back off from potential arguments.

Clinton said Saddam was a threat, yet ignored Saddam's troops firing SAM's at our pilots nearly on a daily basis.
Suddenly, because the President changes, the Liberals think Saddam was no longer a threat.
Want to explain how that could be?

Liberals automatically deduct 100 IQ points if your accent places you anywhere South or West of New York City.

Their eyes turn red. Their voices rise an octave or two. Little balls of spit-foam appear in the corners of their mouths. We all saw it. Lawrence O'Donnell let the cat out of the bag last Friday night.

What happens when I talk to a Lib. (and generally blow them out with a fact-bassed argument) is that they will attempt to put some sort of words in my mouth.

I have found that they don't really listen -- or don't have the capability to listen -- and simply apply the most negative stereotype available to my views without ever listening to what those views really are. They will make it very personal as opposed to an intellectual exchange.

They don't get to mouth foaming part until I refuse to engage in a personal attack and instead return to discussing facts. Very few can handle a purely intellectual exchange.

Right!!   I've always gotten a kick out of this story.

Here's a new twist on an old story:

What's the connection between space shuttle and a horse's ass? Read on to find out!

The U.S. standard railroad gauge (distance between the rails) is 4 feet, 8.5 inches. That is an exceptionally odd number.

Now, why was that gauge used? Because that's the way they built them in England, and the U.S. Railroads were built by English expatriates.

Why did the English build them that way? Because the first rail lines were built by the same people who built the pre-railroad tramways, and that's the gauge they used.

Why did "they" use that gauge then? Because the people who built the tramways used the same jigs and tools that they used for building wagons, which used that wheel spacing.

So why did the wagons have that particular odd spacing? Well, if they tried to use any other spacing, the wagon wheels would break on some of the old, long distance roads in England, because that's the spacing of the wheel ruts.

So, who built those old rutted roads? The first long distance roads in Europe (and England) were built by Imperial Rome for their legions. The roads have been used ever since.

And the ruts in the roads? The ruts in the roads, which everyone had to match for fear of destroying their wagon wheels, were first formed by Roman war chariots. Since the chariots were made for (or by) Imperial Rome, they were all alike in the matter of wheel spacing.

The U.S. standard railroad gauge of 4 feet, 8.5 inches derives from the original specification for an Imperial Roman war chariot. Specifications and bureaucracies live forever. So, the next time you are handed a specification and wonder what horse's ass came up with it, you may be exactly right, because the Imperial Roman war chariots were made just wide enough to accommodate the back end of two war horses. Thus we have the answer to the original question.

Now the twist to the story... When we see a Space Shuttle sitting on its launch pad, there are two booster rockets attached to the side of the main fuel tank. These are Solid Rocket Boosters or SRBs. The SRBs are made by Thiokol at their factory in Utah. The engineers who designed the SRBs might have preferred to make them a bit fatter, but the SRBs had to be shipped by train from the factory to the launch site. The railroad line from the factory had to run through a tunnel in the mountains. The tunnel is slightly wider than the railroad track, and the railroad track is about as wide as two horses' behinds. So, the major design feature of what is arguably the world's most advanced transportation system was determined over two thousand years ago by the width of a horse's ass!!!

I'd have to say that while I could accept that Bush was favored with acceptance to Yale because of his family/father, that wouldn't have helped him get good grades. Professors don't usually know who your parents are, and even if they do, they could care less.
