Michael Moore is today in San Antonio, Tx, filming for a couple of days in the medical community.

A family member who is a pharmaceutical rep had previously told me that Moore was going after the pharmaceutical industry. She called me this morning to give me a heads-up that he was now in San Antonio, Tx. Apparently, there are some Drs who have accepted $50,000 to allow Moore's people to pose as physician's assistants in order to see what they can either dig up or distort.

Perhaps someone should let voters in New Jersey and Eastern PA know. That's where the pharmaceutical industry is concentrated.

Quite a bit of Pharma related activity is actually undertaken by third party companies. The pharma companies outsource the work due to legal restrictions, etc.

When I expressed doubt that Drs would accept money to allow that, the Family Member said she knew a couple in her area (Irving) who might do so. She also stated that in San Antonio, there are Drs who are Democrat-oriented and would like to see govt healthcare for all.

Don't you have to have some kind of qualifications for this? So, wouldn't it be illegal?

I wouldn't be at all surprised if accepting Moore's money backfires on the doctors in a major way. Moore would not hesitate to portray them in a negative or distorted way if it suited his purpose.

If those "physician's assistants" have any access at all to real patients or their records, the "doctors" who allow this are in violation of HIPAA. Moore and the docs will get their butts fried by the feds and in civil court.

I'm skeptical...
