Katie Couric attacks Kerry: the pot calling the kettle black
10/25/04 | Jose Roberto

Posted on 10/25/2004 6:12:40 AM PDT by Jose Roberto

In the Today Show, Katie said that Kerry is disingenuous saying that Bush is fearmongering. She told him that (Kerry) is fearmongering with flu shots, the draft, etc. Kerry said "No".

Then Katie said: America has not been attacked and you make them nervous. The Kerry went on a litany about OBL, boring

Also Kerry said that he "laiid down my life on MY line" What?

Kerry was terrible, he was boring and nos convincing. He went on a ramble about his campaign speech, borrrriiiingggg.....

Sen. Kerry: No, it is profoundly not at all and I’ll tell you why. Because, number one, if we have more of the same policy in Iraq, where we have nine out of 10 of our active duty divisions are either in Iraq, coming back from Iraq, going to Iraq and you face North Korea, which is now a nuclear threat, and Iran, which is an increasing threat and you already have stop loss policy, a back door draft on your Reserves and your National Guard — the president has said we're making progress. He’s going to do more of the same in Iraq. So how he's going to do that and get the job done when our own people tell us, "You don't have enough troops on the ground," is beyond me. I think that … this is an anxiety that's not been on Social Security, Katie. It’s not my program that's privatizing Social Security. It’s the president's program. He has chosen to do this.

Oh Johnny, you are soooo nuanced! I'm voting for YOU now!

Since then she has been a little different, maybe her conversion to republicans is not far off.

C'mon, let's not go off the deep end here!:) She may be playing nice right now, but look at her eyes. She has the same Great White Shark eyes as Hillary. They will both turn back from the shore for the moment and hunt in deeper waters. But make no mistake, we'll see their fins re-emerge after this election.

She's a friend of the Clintons. I think all the Clintons' friends will turn this week and start chopping Kerry's legs out from under him.

I wouldn't go that far. I've said all along that the Clintons would never allow Ketchup Boy to win this election. Perky Katie Couric is a Hitlery! butt-girl who's received her marching orders from Chappaqua.

It's true that in a couple interviews, Katie has taken some tough shots at John Edwards - she clearly doesn't like the guy. And on occasion she'll express some skepticism about various claims by the Kerry campaign, etc. But there's no indication that she's about to desert the liberal ship.

For those who haven't seen the thread about her interview this morning with Kerry, here's the link: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1255993/posts

It wasn't totally worshipful, but she never asked him a truly tough question, such as: "were you EVER in Cambodia," or "what kind of discharge did you originally receive in 1971?"

Well, I will believe you, but I am SHOCKED! Pretty, perky LIBERAL Katie Couric actually threw Kerry some hard balls?

Who woulda thunk it? It does make one wonder what's going on in her mind.

I know one person who is "saddened": my brother is a staunch democrat and has been agonzing over the fact that he hates Bush but doesn't really like Kerry. He idolizes Katie and Matt (go figure) and watches The Today Show every morning, so I am sure he is quite upset now....

Michael Moore tried to hit on her. She's probably still traumatized, the poor girl.

Oh, do I agree with you. Remember the old song, Smiling faces tell lies and I've got proof!? Katie Couric's sweet smile hides the snarling she-wolf behind it. I like your image of her cool slip of the stiletto in the gut while she smiles. Ann Coulter, however, is one of the few who has slipped one to her: an affable Eva Braun, indeed. Also, Ann's zinger about observing oral sex when Sweet K-K-K-Katie interviewed the Hillary witch. Katie ain't cute enough to hide the darkness beneath. It shows in her eyes and smile.

Michael Moore is soooooo icky!

I did like his appearance in "Team America". He's truly an anti-American terrorist.

Looking at this in the short-term, I can easily imagine that there is some frustration, after making so much effort to get this guy elected.

Folks like Katie are probably beginning to turn on Kerry as they recognize that he, like Gore, has blown so many chances. They pretended to love him because he wasn't Bush, but if he fails to save them from the GOP, they're gonna punish him severely in the press.

Thinking long-term (with a little tin-foil), it could be true that Bush was too popular for anybody to face him this year. They may be working on plan B: ensure another election fraud trauma, attempt to neuter the GOP by declaring that the victory/mandate was questionable and run Hillary as the savior in 2008.

With the press going on about it relentlessly, the "no real mandate" approach worked pretty well for the democrats after 2000.

This cycle, they've even prepared harder and they have turned up the volume a bit with:

I can't wait for Team America to come out on video--I can't watch it without captions... my local theater has shown Fahrenheit 9/11 with captions, but no Team America. Go figure.

But, yes, Moore is icky... read this and you'll know why Katie has become a Republican. LOL http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1204675/posts
