The latest Zogby tracking poll out Sunday -- with just ten days until Election Day -- shows President Bush and Senator Kerry still locked in a two-point standoff -- 48% to 46%.
But Zogby notes the President has turned in a second day of strong polling.
Pollster John Zogby: "Another good single day of polling for President Bush.
In today's sample alone, he leads 50% to 43% - the first time we've seen either candidate hit 50%.
Each candidate continues to tighten his own constituency, and Undecided voters are now at only 4%."
The telephone poll of 1207 likely voters was conducted from Thursday through Saturday (October 21-23, 2004). The margin of error is +/- 2.9 percentage points.
Hi,
Assuming you have a good sense of humor, I just thought I would let you know it's good to see I'm not the only one who still prefers the old abbreviations.
I thought that Republicans do not answer the phone on the weekend...
Yea, I'm pretty creative and could do worse damage than that if given time. You have to watch us poets you know!
Zogby won't harvest their poll numbers again until next Friday (and report them over the weekend).
:~)
... and where were these clowns last election (2000)?
one problem happy.. they were ALL within the margin of error and zogby did NOT get bush right.. bush is down almost a full 2 points.
Welcome to FR, here's wishing you a long and rewarding experience.
I always do watch poets, but when I was a kid, in my neighborhood, if you wrote poetry or played tennis, it would have been tough to survive.
On a more serious note, I admire most poets, particularly those who don't lean left.
Pollsters!!!! Got to be a huge increase in Bush support for a weekend sample.
Welcome to FreeRepublic, GNP!!!
Zogby, after months of actively campaigning for Kerry, has now thrown in the towel and is now running to get his polls lined up with reality in time for the election and to save his reputation as an unbiased and accurate pollster.
I know a flock of Pigs are gonna fly past my window any second :-)
If you look ate every State Poll, Bush is trending upward in almost everyone of them. Kerry has double digit leads in only a few states, where George W. has double digit leads all over the South.
President Bush is shown to have 18% of the Black vote (double from 2000),
10 point lead among Male voters, (up from 2000)
Near even among Women voters, (10 points up from 2000)
His support among the Spanish voters is way up since 2000
President Bush has increased his support among Jewish voters by almost double from 2000.
The only block of voters he is shown to have lost support from is the Muslim vote......
Would someone please tell me how this election is supposed to be a dead heat? "Just like 2000" ?????????
wait a minute... if that keeps up... its going to be a good night on Nov 2 (Nov 3 if your a Dem)
See #30 also (2 point margin)
Good question. If he leads all those demographics, it is statistically impossible to be a dead heat.
