Powerlineblog.org: We Just Got A Tip (Breaking Story on Kerry?)
Powerline ^ | 10/23/04

We just got a tip......that a major newspaper will break a front-page story Monday morning that could create a serious problem for the Kerry campaign. We don't yet have any details, but it relates to a foreign policy issue, and it will call into question--amazingly enough--John Kerry's truthfulness.

We'll watch for the story Sunday night and post it as soon as it becomes available.

Some 90 percent of Kosovo's population is ethnic Albanian, the remaining 10 percent is mostly Serbian.

This fact was just the opposite, until the barbarian believers - with the aid and comfort of American bombing - drove hundreds of thousands of Yugoslavians from Kosovo.

Guys, I have read the last 100 posts of this thread thinking I might find something good against Kerry.

Him getting checks from some KLA fundraiser will have NO impact on this election IMHO. This issues is way to out there to have any effect.

The RNC would be better off putting together a commercial showing photos of Kerry with Ortega, Castro, etc. and outlining every anti-Reagan speech or vote the guy made. With a historical perspective, the virtues of Reagan become more clear. JFK was a complete thorn in the side of EVERYTHING Reagan did. We need to run clips of those outbursts....show the people that a leopard can't change his spots.

Bush says bin Laden likely dead; A stunned John Kerry replies: "Oh, f***. Really?"

By Anne D. Kaufmann
THE WASHINGTON TIMES

Citing newly declassified intelligence documents, President Bush told reporters today that al-Qaeda leader Usama bin Laden is "very likely dead," and that Senator John Kerry "needs to stop his yammering about our so-called failure in Tora Bora, because such talk demoralizes the troops and, quite frankly, makes the Senator look like he's got that big head of his stuffed squarely up his pooper."

Not related to KLA. Anyone ever see any film of Kerry meeting with the communist's during Vietnam?

"Eminent U.S. religious leaders astounded by violence against Christian heritage in Kosovo and Metohija August 2004

Excerpt: The bishop emphasized that prior to March 17 of this year 115 Orthodox churches and monasteries had already been destroyed, and on March 17 an additional 30. 'To date not a single perpetrator has been found. Over 3,500 Serbs have been abducted or murdered. All this occurred not during a time of war but under the eyes of the international community.

Is it along the same lines as meeting with the KLA, though? If Kerry's team met with the KLA, you know that they have met with other delegations as well.

You printed only the first few sentences of an article that was purely a joke. Look at the disclaimer at the bottom.

•protein wisdom contributed to this report while watching football and sniffing model plane glue. Not a word of it is true. Which means CBS is free to run with it should they so choose

Could there be something or someone in the film or pictures that is damning?

I thought the joke was self-evident. I think Freepers are smart enough to determine that a news story using the word "pooper" is a satire.

I don't remember seeing a film, but his meeting(s) with the Communists have been exposed. They have had some effect. I don't think more about his VietNam years is going to be seismic unless the film includes him volunteering to torture the pows or somesuch. While it is about foreign policy, it is a little remote.

Here's link to a blog that addresses the subject. Read it and see if you can figure out anything. RedState.Org

Like Josh Marshall. Except, for real. By: krempasky · Section: Breaking News

Stay tuned for Monday morning, folks. A story will break that the Kerry campaign will have to respond to. Call it another chapter in the story of John Kerry making stuff up. And while RedStaters didn't write a single word of it -- I'm proud to say that some folks involved in this site (and at least one other blogger) certainly pointed in the right direction. (More on that later.) Update [2004-10-23 11:31:30 by trevino]:

The fevered minds of the lefty blogosphere advance their own theories. Read on.

A choice few below:

It's about Kerry and Tora Bora!
It's about Kerry's malfeasance as a prosecutor!
It's about Kerry's poor grasp of military affairs!
It's a sinister diversion by Darth Krempasky!
It's about Kerry's dishonorable discharge!
It's a classic case of FUD!
It's about Kerry lying about war crimes!
It's about Kerry's European divorce!
Who will be proven right? And what does it tell us that even the man's partisans are so well versed in the catalog of malfeasances

I think one of the people on another blog pegged it.. Has to do with Kerry stating he went to the UN Security Council before the Iraq war to determine how seriously they were going to hold Saddam accountable....short of it....never happened

Hope that's not it. That would not swing a single vote.

Yes, that would be quite the ding. Reporting for duty after a dishonorable discharge.

Security clearance considerations go along with something like a dishonorable discharge.

Pardons have no bearing on security clearances.

I thought the KLA angle was and is very good. But, trusting that you know more, it's either he's met with the Iranians directly or through his agents or he lied when he said there was no connection between Bin Laden and Saddam.
