This production has not been well thought out, poorly edited and produced.
I hear you Dave. But, because FR has become noticed out there, makes us a target for all kinds of disruption. IMO, without some clamping down on posting privileges, this board will melt down.
I don't know if they were purposely trying to dupe us, but what I saw (couldn't stand to watch much) definitely left a Kerry aftertaste.
It's a learning experience! ;^)
We were all new once; and if YOU don't add your thoughts, it misses the whole point of this place.
A second reason is, just like other sites, some of the old-timers can be possessive of their territory, and quick to put down the newbie.
I think if you honestly look at posts where "newbies" are questioned, nine times out of ten, the questioners are right. When you've been here a little longer, you, too, will be able to "smell" them.
And the reason we're possessive is because we've worked hard to make this a great informative place for people to come; we don't need disruptors or political operatives coming here to "teach us something" or try to manipulate the boards.
I believe you said it could have been a dem advertisment. I just thought it was.
OMG......Lawrence O'Donnel have yet ANOTHER "episode" on MSNBC now!
Howlin, even as an attempt to air the issue of how the media affects presidential elections, it was a pathetic mess of a broadcast. I speak from 20 years in the business of news and video production. From both of those angles, it was amateurish and shallow.
The resources of Sinclair Broadcasting should have been able to assemble a more credible piece, no matter what point they wanted to make. In format, production values, and news value, it was a twinkie without the filling.
Why wait?? Don't you want to jump in now and make the butt kick circle bigger? :)
They're not.
Trolls are easier to spot by what they say than when they say it.
You answered your own question!
I made three hours worth of phone calls for the Bush Campaign tonight. I was excited about coming home to watch this special. I felt cheated by Sinclair Broadcasting.
Both of you can ummm... go ask Dick Cheney what to do with yourselves and your opinion that people who criticized this third rate "news" program are somehow against Bush.
Part of the confusion was mine. I watched the Stolen Honor video off of the net. It was hard hitting. Then I see all of these new dates and folks saying it was a dud.....my bad.
Great post. I agree.
Duh that's what took 5 years, because I needed to feel that I could not be imtimidated. Despite your comments Sinclair indicated if merely by the title that they intended to give the POWs side. I did not expect the full show Stolen Honor. I already own it, I was interested in elaboration that didn't sound like Kerry wrote it.
Options, you say - here are three:
http://www.grassboots.org/KerryInParis.pdf
http://www.grassboots.org/viet-vets.pdf
http://www.grassboots.org/War-Crimes.pdf
Download these, print, copy and give them to your neighbors.
it ain't gossip...it's all well known FR legend
and Howlin is the grande dame.
all newbies claim they've lurked since NOAH.
all in good fun
OMG, that is so damn funny coming from you!!!!
I may die laughing right in my chair this very night!
Good Lord...O'Donnell is a royal POS...constantly calling O'Neill a liar....
Weel, I meant outright, this one was sneaky.
