I want to know if PETA plans to issue a statement denouncing John Kerry's slaughter of the geese that is being paraded all over the news and internet like some kind of great heroic event? I think it is hideous.

Thank you for contacting PETA about political candidates who engage in blood sports. Please understand that PETA certainly opposes any activity which causes intentional harm to animals, including hunting and fishing.

Read some great commentary from Ohio gun owners about Kerry's photo op with the dead goose.

They know he doesn't really mean it - they understand that pretense is the means to what they consider a justified end.
The Drudge Report pool stories (linked from your link) are hysterical!
Oh, but if he wore a full-length mink coat, I bet they'd have something to say.
Even India has a PETA outlet! No wonder there are so many cows walking around.

PETA or not, sKerry can't do anything right. He's got all sides against him in the goose fiasco.
And a purple suede hat with a cheetah-print hatband. Oh, and a cane with a pearl-inlaid knob on top...The perfect outfit for when he's pimping stem cell research.
Great idea! I just sent this:
To whom it may concern:
John Kerry was all over the news the other night, acting like a war hero because he shot a goose. The only way this photo op could have been more disgusting was if hed used an M-16 to slaughter the bird, and then burned down a village to celebrate. I have not seen or heard any PETA comment on this silly exploitation, and I wonder why you apparently have time to go after the Green Bay Packers for having a certain name, but you dont have time to ask John Kerry to hold off on actual killing.
So
are you going to remain silent, and if so, why in the world would you lay down for either political party like that?
Exactly...Leftists, practicing realpolitik to the bitter end...in an ever-worsening downward spiral...
Sad that kerry goes out and shoots geese just for a publicity stunt. You don't see President Bush running around shooting animals. (Aside from sending our military against the animal terrorists, which is where the real force should be used in the first place!)
I really do think it is wrong to do what he did, for a photo op.. and I think its wrong to hunt and kill animals if you are not going to eat them, just for the sport of it..
Im no PETA person, but I sure think its a sad comment on folks that kill animals for NO REASON, other than to just kill them......
What a loser. "I can't carry it myself, I'm too wiped out from watching the Red Sox" Pullleeeeaaassse! Try tracking a deer for four hours in the dark in the rain and snow and then dragging it out of the woods with someone! Loser.
He just doesn't have time. I'm sure he does on occasion, and actually *does* it.
