Herseypark Stadium, Hersey, PA -- in the rain, no less!
Boy, isn't THAT the truth! I live most of my life here in the South Bay and rarely have a need to get on our crazy freeways. Last time I went up your way, was to go out to the Reagan Library this summer. On the way back, there was a massive accident on the 101. I understand it took hours to clean up. We didn't sit around waiting, but got off the freeway and drove through the streets to a point where we were past the accident.
Wow! That confirms the guesses by FReepers who know the capacity of the stadium. It's it remarkable that the president's rallies are held in stadiums, while Kerry rallies are held in darkened auditoriums (and duck blinds).
"Hopefully, we will overwhelm the hate come election day."
are you in a swing state? Does it look goodfor us on the ground??
I live in California, and hate to mention how far too many Californians "swing," LOL! Especially in San Francisco and West L.A.
All kidding aside, the excitement for our Dubya here in my locality has been strong for months. While overcoming the Dem strongholds of Los Angeles and San Francisco is very tough, most of the counties in the state will go Bush, just like they did in 2000. It's for the best that GWB didn't campaign here. Yet the excitement on our side is greater than I've ever seen it for any other campaign. So who knows. Maybe Republican turnout will surprise everyone this time.
Simi is a nice ride too. I take my occasional date to the Reagan Library also because it has been excellently done as a quiet place to reflect and talk. It's timeless. I'll go back after they get the construction done on and for his jet. Maybe I should volunteer? I was an airframe mechanic once for Gulfstream in Van Nuys.
I'm envious. Sounds perfect. And maybe you should volunteer to help put AF1 back together again. That exhibit will also include a Marine 1 helicopter and a fighter jet, plus various AF1 memorabilia. I can't wait to see it.
Reagan's hardened limousine is there too.
Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly! Philly!
WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
FROM TEXAS
