Word that Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11" will be shown on cable T-V in Tucson before the November second election.
Tucson radio producer Elaine Higginbotham says she's received Moore's permission to air the controversial film on Access Tucson.
Higginbotham says she considers airing a film that takes a highly critical look at the U-S war in Iraq as a valuable public service.
You should insist that "Tucson radio producer Elaine Higginbotham" air "Fahrenhype" afterward. Equal Time.
MSM was indignant about "stolen honor", but I'm sure this will be OK.
Where's the outrage?! Oh, wait, it's a liberal message.
That clears Sinclair. The door is wide open.
Bump
Look, they're already showing it. You can spend energy trying to stop it, or you can insist they air something to show the other side. There's a much better chance they'll be pressured into showing something on an "equal time" arguement, than Not showing the Moore thing in the first place. And, it gives Sinclaire something to hang their hat on, too.
As far as I can see this is a Public Access station, which means that anyone can air what they want, as long as they have permission from the owner of the piece if it is commercial or someone elses work.
The person showing this garbage is either a private citizen or a member of a group who has recieved permission from Jabba the Hut to show this tripe. So if anyone out there in Tuscon is qualified to use the equipment, I am sure you could get permission from the makers of Fahrenhype to use it. Then apply for time to put it on.
If they(access) refuse, seek an injunction against Access Tuscon based on the fact that the TV station is not actually public access, therefore it is a political statement endorsed by Access Tuscon, and the people showing it have no right as private citizens to air this under the guise of public access.
Pima County (Tucson) is very left. . .Most of them have more than likely gone to the movies to see it. It won't change anything.
Sony is NOT going to like it. What's that Mike, something about BREAKING CONTRACTS???
This Higganbotham is a far left code pink type. I don't have comcast cable but subscribers need to contact them and complain.
The dems are showing it at their HQ in my town...anybody got suggestions for a counter?
Wouldnt this remove it from Academy Awards eligibility?
Standing by and holding my breath for the MSM outcry. (Please send someone to revive me)
