I am not going to sit here and say that Bush is running away with it, BUT that poll sure smells like garbage when you look at the overall trends and where the campaigns are spending time etc. Look at the Mason-Dixon state polls out too.

Voters are evenly split on who would do the best job on Iraq. They find the candidates equally honest and likable, but Bush is viewed as much more decisive.

"By an 18-point margin, Kerry is seen as best suited to create jobs for workers."

Right there you see the fraud in their polls. This margin is NOT EVEN present in the See BS poll.

When every other pollster had Bush up anywhere from 2-6% in early October, AP/Ipsos had Kerry up 4%. Now, AP/Ipsos has Kerry up 3%.

The AP is not Republican friendly.

This is where most all major news sources which are those the liberals claim are "major" get their leads including most newspapers.

Did they just poll all their media correspondants for this poll?

Here we go again, the internals don't match the numbers, can somebody explain to me how that happens:

A majority, 51 percent, support the president's handling of foreign policy and the war on terror. By 7 percentage points, they think he would protect the country better than Kerry. That is similar to the AP-Ipsos poll earlier in the month, but down from a 23-point advantage in March.

Actually not that bad. Considering their last poll was 3% more to the left then the next-most liberal poll.

Bush was "down by 4%" in their poll two weeks ago, and there was only ONE other regular poll even showing a Kerry lead - most still showed Bush up 1-4%.

IOW... you can safely ignore this poll. I suspect they've just been copying off of Carvlle's work.

It's not the poll that bothers me..it's BS...it's the damned media. They'll crow about this one for days. And, the Dims, who have become disheartened, will be re-engergized.

The MSM and the AP can go straight to h***.

Pardon me for my mouth on this one.

I think that polls are adjusting for likely voters by including the count of new voter registrations. If you're newly registered, you're likely to vote, I guess.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, they've been fooling themselves on new voter registration. More and more reports are rolling in showing that a good amount of new voter registrations are bogus. So some of the votes they've been counting on aren't there.

So, any poll that's adjusting the count for likely voters by bumping up the Democrat total is probably overcompensating.
