PITTSBURGH, Oct. 20 /U.S. Newswire/ -- Teresa Heinz Kerry released the following statement today:

"I had forgotten that Mrs. Bush had worked as a school teacher and librarian, and there couldn't be a more important job than teaching our children. As someone who has been both a full time mom and full time in workforce, I know we all have valuable experiences that shape who we are. I appreciate and honor Mrs. Bush's service to the country as First Lady, and am sincerely sorry I had not remembered her important work in the past."

What came out of her pie-hole originally was what she thought. While I oftentimes question her lucidity, there is absolutely no way she did not remember Laura Bush was a schoolteacher. She made the statement to raise her profile among voters, as she is certain Americans hold Laura in much higher regard than they do her. Her apology is typically patronizing, elitist and liberal. Her husband is unfit for command. She is unfit to be America's first lady.

Sorry, in my view, her "apology" minimizes what stay-at-home moms do. After all, Ms. Heinz-Kerry-Whatever didn't say, "Oh, I forgot she was a mom." Rather, she said, "Oh, I forgot she was a teacher." Thus, stay-at-home moms don't have "real jobs." She ought to be buried under by contempt.

I absolutely agree. The really sad thing is that this "apology" was probably written by a professional communicator for Mrs. Heinz.

Show me a mother who doesn't think full time mothering is a job and I'll show you a bad mother and her poor, truly pitiful children.

How much ya wanna bet Mamma T didn't have much input regarding this retraction? What a doof.

Have you read the retraction? I don't know if Mrs. Heinz had anything to do with it, but it is worse than the initial statement. It's worse than Hillary's "baking cookies" line back in 92. It absolutely belittles full time mothering.

When billy klinton comes out to Penn to hump for kerry-I certainly hope the first press question he encounters (as if, lol, any of the adoring press klinton arse kissers would ask that loser anything, anyway)is about his experience dodging the draft and writing an 'I loathe the military letter' to his draft officer while in England (before he was thrown out of Oxford) in light of kerry's Vietnam experience and President Bush's reserve experience.

I hope someone asks him why any of it is relevant.

It would seem that kerry made a huge sacrifice to get at that woman's money.

Evita must not be in touch with the media else she would have seen multiple interviews and references to our First Lady discussing her status as a teacher/librarian.

Furthermore, the importance of the job known as motherhood is invaluable to society. Anyone disparaging those who do that job does not understand the importance of family to society. This goes along with the Edwards/Kerry attitude toward the Cheney and Bush's families.

Didn't Edwards wife also make some nasty comment about Laura as well?

Oh, I see what you mean. With stupid apologies like this one I think it's a real possibility they're being sabotaged.

I honestly think this should be repeated, again and again and again, through election day.

Make references to it in stump speeches, slip it into interviews (e.g., "I value the contribution teachers make. I think teaching IS a real job.")...do it ad nausaum.

Why? Because Kerry and his freaks were so freaking persistent in demanding that Mary Cheney was "fair game", that families "are part of the campaign" (as Vanessa Kerry asserted).

Again and again: "Heck, even members of the Kerry household do not believe that teaching our children is a real, right and honorable profession. Guess getting billions in an inheritance is a 'real job' to some..."

John Heinz was born with a silver suppository up his a$$.

Apparently TereSa removed that from her first husband before she buried him and placed it in her mouth.

What if this woman were to become our First Lady (God forbid!) and make these many stupid remarks to wives and other foreign dignitaries.

No reason to think she would shut up if she were to become (God forbid) First Lady.
