FNC - Peggy Noonan on Hannity & Colmes talking about massive fraud in the Battleground States

Posted on 10/19/2004 6:41:54 PM PDT by TBBT

Peggy says it's happening in all the key battleground states and it largely being perpetrated by the Democrats (negating Colmes argument that "well the republican are doing it to, and the Republicans are just trying to suppress the vote.)

She says that the 1996 election may be the last one where we go to be on election night and wake up the next morning knowing who the next president will be.

You should not only need to show I.D. to receive a ballot, you should also have to prove citizenship (birth certificate, Passport, etc.) to register. This would cut the legs out from underneath of voter fraud.

I dissagree, you should have to show an ID to proove who you are before you vote, otherwise somebody else can say they are you and vote in your place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why can't dems see that? Because they want to proceede to voter fraud!

I love how Peggy shut up Alan Combover with that soft, ladylike voice of hers. She laid the voter fraud solely on the Dims.

It's a lot easier to organize and perpetrate voter fraud when so many of your constituents are illegal aliens, union thugs and others sliding by on the wrong side of the law.

How would we on the Right commit voter fraud? It's not easy to convince Evangelical Christians. law and order types and flag wavers that it's okay to vote four or five times.

So much for the orderly turnover that we all took for granted.

On the Lehrer report on PBS tonight there was a segment on election problems. One political party was named as attempting to subvert the election. Which party do you think it was?

They had some guy from Nevada claiming that a Republican official ripped up his stack of absentee applications (or registration forms, I forgot which). He said he rescued them from the wastebasket and held them up, all scotch-taped together. In light of the DNC's pre-emptive falsified complaint strategy, I have to wonder if this is a legit story. One thing is certain: Nobody at PBS was wondering.

Instead, Congress passed laws which only make things worse, like the provisional ballot thing and the push for electronic ballots. I don't know what all the new laws involve, and I'm afraid that there's more nasty surprises in store for us because the Republicans just do not get it.

The Dems have been using voter fraud for well over a century. The big city machines such as Tammany Hall with Boss Tweed, the Pendergast machine in KC, the Daleys in Chicago, and Mayor Hague in Jersey City have manipulated the election process to the benefit of the Democrat Party. In presidential elections, the big city machines wait until the other votes are in from the rest of the state and then manufacture the votes they need to win.

If we don't do something about voter fraud in this country, we will no longer be a government of the people, by the people, and for the people.

In the close elections they have a chance at stealing it. Let's face it though. If Bush wins soundly, the fraud will be overcome. I think he will.

well, I"m critical of Republican timidity, but after 2000, Ashcroft's Justice Dept. has been on the voter fraud case. The problematic 2002 polling places were monitored by the Justice Dept, and I suspect they will be this time too.

some of those messed up Jacksonville precincts under Justice Dept monitoring, didn't have the foul ups in 2002 they "reported" in 2000. Imagine that!

I'm ready to say no early voting and no absentee ballots. Only exception is for military.

Out of town on business? Too bad. Should have planned better. Living abroad? You made your choice.

The Constitution envisioned that we would all vote on the same day, and once again, we're seeing the wisdom of the founding fathers. I don't know how these 3 week elections are Constitutional in the first place.

Now that that's out, I think this early voting- the idea of stretching one day into two weeks is the beginning of the end unless the SCOTUS gets involved and stops it.

The Constitution explicitly sets out that the individual states are entitled to enact their own election laws, and nowhere in the Constitution does it say that Election Day is the first Tuesday in November.

The SCOTUS has no legal basis for interfering.

Barely. The election of GWB despite massive voter fraud in Philadelphia, Detroit, St. Louis, and Broward County proves that we are still hanging on. This may be the election that destroys our faith in our democracy.

That's encouraging to hear; didn't know that.

Ashcroft should shout it from the mountaintops as a deterrent.

Should be a minimum of 5 years hard time for anybody who organizes to steal an election.

Considering the numbers that could die in the next Civil War, the death penalty would be justified, and would be mild punishment at that.

I have to appoligize, I did not see the part where you said that "You should not only need to show I.D. to receive" I totally glossed over the fact that you said "You should not only need to show I.D." Don't know how that happened, I AGREE with you totally, an ID needs to be shown by ALL WHO VOTE IN THIS AND EVERY ELECTION!

The level of bile and invective from the Rats is so high that I think it will lead to violence, which of course the MSM will blame on the Republicans.

Sadly, I do not see our Republic lasting more than 10 or 15 years more.

I agree with you. I love Hannity's radio show, but I cannot stand to watch the TV show with all of the liberals lying and screaming. Colmes makes me ill.
