FNC - Peggy Noonan on Hannity & Colmes talking about massive fraud in the Battleground States

Posted on 10/19/2004 6:41:54 PM PDT by TBBT

Peggy says it's happening in all the key battleground states and it largely being perpetrated by the Democrats (negating Colmes argument that "well the republican are doing it to, and the Republicans are just trying to suppress the vote.)

She says that the 1996 election may be the last one where we go to be on election night and wake up the next morning knowing who the next president will be.

It COULD backfire if they decided to contest and drag it out and we ended up with riots and civil strife. The Dems could be on the way to creating a civil war over this election (we need to pray for an obvious blow out)

I do hope for an obvious blow out, but unfortunataly that may not happen, the dems have said that even if Bush wins decisivly, they will protest and sue. However if another civil war developed, fine, bring it on.........let me see, what states have 2nd amendment rights and what states don't?

Republicans dropped the ball on this. They had 4 years to pass a tough federal law making it a 5-10 years for anyone perpetrating election fraud. It's going to be ugly on Election day and the days immediately following, I'm afraid. Hopefully Bush has enough votes to win comfortably but in any case there will be widespread fraud and whining by the corrupt Democratic Party.

I think he's either doing drugs or is in terrible condition physically and on his last leg.

1896 election, there were people handing out different color ballots-you had to choose which ballot "to cast".

Not much secrecy. The local thug would watch to see how people voted.

Rats have a long history of crookedness. Ashcroft didn't have the guts to prosecute last time. Bush may pay for that this time.

You should not only need to show I.D. to receive a ballot, you should also have to prove citizenship (birth certificate, Passport, etc.) to register. This would cut the legs out from underneath of voter fraud.

Peggy said no jail time was involved - class 5 felony - should be class 1.

They stole Illinois and Texas too in 1960. They do it over and over. The last relatively close election won by a Republican was Nixon's over Humphrey in 1968. But I really dont think it was within the margin of error-enough for them to cheat enough so it mattered.

Look at the crap they tried at the last minute against GHWBush in 1992 when running against Clinton. Apparently he was going to win the election until Lawrence Walsh, the "independent" prosecutor came out with a phony indictment of Weinberger--the weekend before the election.

They are evil cheaters and the GOP is too much the patsy.. Only firm rules about fraud-proofing elections will stop this. But htey will yell louder than a stuffed pig. Ashcroft was the foolish gentleman in 2000 when a Senate seat was stolen from him by Jean Carnahan in Missouri. He did not contest it though he should have. Did you notice how nice the Democrats have been to Mr. Ashcroft ever since for being such a gentleman?

>>Hate to say it, but I am starting to tune Hannity out. I just can't take the format much longer.

You stuck with it for a heckuva lot longer than I did. Short attention span "debate" for the ADD generation.

That'w what I've been afraid of myself. If this isn't a blowout, which I am hopeful of and praying for, this nation could be headed down a nightmarish path all because the Demorats can't stand the idea of losing their power. We all knew Dems wanted power, I guess we really didn't know, or couldn't believe, the lengths they go to get it back. We could be in for a very long and rough road ahead. Noonan alluded to this as well. She said the last election we could know before we went to bed was 1996.

At least Nixon had the class and cared too much for this country to fight it out in court.

I could not possibly disagree with you more. There is nothing classy about going along with evil. A fraudulent election MUST be fought, just as corruption everywhere must be fought. If Nixon really cared about the country, he would have exposed the fraud and claimed the victory that was his, as Eisenhower told him he should do. And as President Bush did when they tried to steal the 2000 election from him.

Nixon wasn't classy, he was weak. He didn't want the elite to bad mouth him and so he bowed to social pressure. The country has paid for it, and the fraud has only gotten worse since then and will continue to do so in the future.

John Ashcroft made the same error when he refused to fight for the Missouri Senate seat which he had won. When will these spineless politicians get it through their heads that when they win an election, it is not their personal decision whether to give it away to those who stole it from them through fraud or other wrongdoing.

Now, tell the truth, do you really think that President Bush did the country wrong to "fight it out in court?" Would the country be better off if he had just let Gore steal the election?

I'm with Peggy. There is ABSOLUTELY no excuse to be going through this, again... we had majority in congress and the laws should have been changed by 2002.

You made some excellent points. And no, I don't think President Bush was wrong for fighting it out in the courts.
