I just came from the Baederwood Theatre in Abington, PA where "Stolen Honor" was to be shown to an expected full-house. Upon arrival I was told that the theatre canceled the show due to called in threats of violence.
There were about 100 people milling around outside the theatre, mostly Bush supporters, when I arrived. The Bushies were rightly indignant that we couldn't see the film and the sKerry supporters were almost gleeful in their posturing.
One "vet for Kerry" was getting in the faces of many of the Bush supporters, and had to be separated by the police more than once. There were three television news crews recording the skirmishes between the two camps, and reporters jotting down their stories.
The filmmaker, Carlton Sherwood, was there and gave on-camera interviews. The reporters also took about a dozen interviews from both sides of the fence.
There was about a dozen "Vets For Kerry" there, most of them wearing uniforms. I noticed the cops making faces to them as if to say "aren't these Bush supporters a bunch of wankers?" There was one young man (about 19) holding a sign "jingoism doesn't work." Talk about a wanker.
The "Stolen Honor" people handed out DVDs and videos to anyone who wanted one.
This will be a big story on the local news tonight because of all of the heated arguments captured on film. For all in the Delaware Valley viewing area, Channel 6 News stuck around the longest. I'll post any articles from the local papers tomorrow.
Speechless.
You've both left me speechless....
Ah, the party of peace.
Go to the link in #180 and check out the picture of the peaceful lefty.
Actually, I like MJY's advice! That....or to the SWIFTBOAT guys.
But in this case, don't risk bodily harm just buy the DVD and spread the truth.
You bet your LIFE the Swiftees...It won't be the first donation I've made to them...
Me too!!!!
If Kerry wins, he'll be coming for a lot more than that $200.00, you'll need to hand over 10 times that much in order for him to give you the free health care he is promising you.
In 1994 I had a bumper sticker that read :If You Think Health-care Is Expensive Now, Wait until It's Free!
The Swift Boat Veterans for Truth should win every award that producers of TV advertismenst can get. They were 10 times more effective with their low budget Ads, than all the money George Soros could waste on those clueless liberal 527's and their juvenile Ads.
Ummm .. the guy with the hat ... he's on our side
From what I could tell on the News .. I'm thinking he is a vet
He thinks that will work? What happens when bail is $100,000? Then, what happens when the arresting officer suddenly gets the flu on his court date? Oops, have to reschedule...back to jail. And the courts are just *overloaded*, you know...
I have a few friends (and even a cousin) who are cops. Act like an animal, and they can make life *real* hard for you. I've heard of proceedings getting dragged out to six months or more because the bad guy especially ticked off the arresting officer.
God, I hope they play these games where I know some of the cops... :)
Yep. 'Bout sums it up, eh? Thanks.
here is the video of it
