Has anyone voted early?

Posted on 10/18/2004 11:40:33 AM PDT by dfdemar

Has anyone decided to vote early? Were the lines long? Do you think long lines are a bad or good indicator for Bush?

My wife did this morning. In Colorado, the early voting takes place at the DMV. Since she had to register one of our vehicles, and her "number" was a good 30 away, she went ahead and voted.

DMV had only processed 10 people in the time it took her to get through all 4 stations and ID checks etc. So I cant image that there were many people voting ahead of her.

I will go there this afternoon and do the same. After the lunch rush.

We voted at 10:00 AM on the first day here in KS.

No one else was ahead or behind us, nor anywhere
in sight for that matter.

> Do you think long lines are a bad or good indicator for Bush?

Encouraging sign, I'd say. People voting early are the
kind of people who plan ahead, or in this year, concerned
about problems on 02 Nov, such as registration issues,
lines, foul-ups, hostile DNC lawyer confrontations, etc.

Dems voting early are more apt to be doing so on the basis of:
"I need to act before I change my mind."

So vote early, and vote anyway (even if you live in a
"lost" or slam-dunk state) - the popular tally matters.

My family and I voted last week. No lines. No problems. We voted by absentee ballot.

That is three California votes for Bush!

Then expect a knock on the door, after FR is
subpoena'd to cough up the IP logs of your

Hubby and I voted this morning, and were the only two people in the place, but we live in a little podunk town, so that wasn't very surprising. However, about 20 people had signed the register before us, so I think the turnout was pretty good so far.

It makes the old saw of "vote early and vote often" a whole lot less funny.

Pretty painless here in Tennessee - in Nashville anyway. I tend to agree, at least in theory, that this would favor Bush. I personally don't want to have to deal with the crazies I'd anticipate being in and around the polling places on Nov. 2nd. I heard a report today that nearly 10% of all of Tennessee's registered voters had already cast their ballots in just 3 1/2 days of early voting. Of course, Kerry has as much chance of carrying Tennessee as I do of winning the lottery and I've never bought a ticket

No problem. If anyone thinks it's possible fro a Middle-Class Working Stiff Republican in Alabama to vote more than once, tell them to bring it on. I'll get my 15 seconds.

Yes, I voted in Florida this morning in St. John's County. Many elderly people were voting. No problems at all. Showed my ID (drivers Lic.) and Voter registration Card and got my ballet.
God BLess GW and help him over come the Dems dirty tricks and win big!

2 Iowans by absentee ballot last week. We need 3999 more to go for the win we missed by 4000 in 2000!

Only 10 or 15 times?

You must have skipped a few Democrat Voter Education sessions, right?

I'll vote 10 or 15 times between now and Nov 2.

Just be sure to do it in a swing state.

Why do they have early voting? I feel very uninformed!
