Just learned this morning that 55KRC (WKRC) in Cincinnati just switched from CBS radio to FOX radio
They had been advertising "Fair and Balanced" for about a week or two. I'm embarrassed to say that I really never made the connection :p
In any case, take that, SeeBS

"Les...Les, are you there? Les isn't there. *sigh* Thanks for that on-the-spot report, Les. For those of you just tuning in, the Pinedale Shopping Mall has just been bombed with live turkeys. Film at 11."

I heard this for the first time this morning. Stunned me to hear Lauren Green, instead of the CBS News update guy.
Excellent news (pun)!

Great news ... with CBS gone I won't have to listen to Dan Rather do the 5PM national news, which is tied in with the local. CBS apparently does this as a lead in to Rather's televised evening news that views at 6:30PM local. My feeling is after Rather's memogate scandal WKRC got a lot of complaints ... after all WKRC is the home of Rush Limbaugh at noon followed by Hannity @ 3PM.

They better watch it, or else they'll get a visit from the "phone cops."

Also, the local CBS radio affiliate in Lexington KY is dropping CBS end of this year according to an email I received from the program director.
By the way, it was "WKRP in Cincinnatti", not WKRC. I loved the show and think it was one of the greatest comedy shows of all time. Yes, the "turkey incident" may have been the best show ever. Les Nessmans reporting from the scene "hitting the pavement like bags of wet cement". And Mr Carlsons comments that "as god is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly", are a couple of the great TV lines ever.

GREAT!! I listen to WKRC, so I am glad to see our e-mails helped! (Thought I would wreck my car when they replaced the 5:00 "Dan Blather Update" with the song "Liar"!)

I was always a "bailey" man myself. Now if you switch to that other choice, Ginger or Mary Ann, that is excruciating. I always knew it should be Mary Ann, but redheads have some kind of magical effect on me, so I was Ginger all the way!
And, um, oh yeah! Great news about 55KRC moving to FOX radio!!! Its about time!!!

Actually, the line that sticks was from Venus Flytrap.
"You're listening to WKRP, home of more music and Les Nesmond."

I wish WLW would switch from ABC. I get tired of waking up to their bias every morning...and Jim Scott tries to a fair degree to be balanced, but he has a bit of a slant toward the democrats.

Our local talker ,AM 990 in K-town, switched to FOX a few months ago. And yes ,Laurie Dhue does sound great on the radio .
