Now, we can all criticize the way he has pursued that mission. He has certainly made mistakes in detail, notably in underestimating the problems that have inevitably followed the overthrow of the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq, and overestimating the ability of U.S. forces to tackle them.

Oh, yeah. Not to mention the fact that the MSM does NOT report the progress and good things happening in Iraq, PLUS the MSM actually working for Dubya's downfall and failure and ouster from the White House.

Media Research Center:
Dan Rather on Bill Clinton:
"I think he’s an honest man."

O’Reilly: "I want to ask you flat out, do you think President Clinton’s an honest man?"
Rather: "Yes, I think he’s an honest man."
    O’Reilly: "Do you, really?"
    Rather: "I do."
O’Reilly: "Even though he lied to Jim Lehrer’s face about the Lewinsky case?"
Rather: "Who among us has not lied about something?"
O’Reilly: "Well, I didn’t lie to anybody’s face on national television. I don’t think you have, have you?"
Rather: "I don’t think I ever have. I hope I never have. But, look, it’s one thing-"
O’Reilly, jumping in: "How can you say he’s an honest guy then?"
Rather: "Well, because I think he is. I think at core he’s an honest person. I know that you have a different view. I know that you consider it sort of astonishing anybody would say so, but I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things."
    O’Reilly: "Really?!?"
    Rather: "Yeah, I do."
    O’Reilly: "See, I can’t. I want my government to be honest across-the-board. I don’t want people lying."

And here is how low the Democrats have sunk:

In one swing, they manage a Three-fer: Offending Bush,
Bush voters and the mentally handicapped.

absolutely right in estimating the seriousness of the threat international terrorism poses to the entire world

Why, oh why does the media persist in using the PC code words 'international terrorists' when everybody knows they are Islamic terrorists ??

Must the world wake up one morning to a nuked city before the truth is finally acknowledged ?

I cannot recall any election when the enemies of America all over the world have been so unanimous in hoping for the victory of one candidate. That is the overwhelming reason that John Kerry must be defeated, heavily and comprehensively.

Amen. Sums it up well right there at the end.

I have no idea what the writer is alluding to here, but it is very intriguing. Could someone please elaborate?

^^^^

Kerry's father's father was Jewish and European who immigrated to America, left his original name which started with a K, and his religion behind. Until the primary for this election campaign, JFK attended St Paddy's Day parades etc as a descendant of Irish immigrants - as so many Boston residents are.

There are threads on FR about 'the outing.'

It actually is surprising to see how much Johnson is able to discern about Bush's presidency if he has to rely on the BBC and CNN International..

I found it bittersweet that he discusses 'the hard work' that is needed to defeat this terrorism, and that is what Bush kept saying in the first - foreign policy focus - debate, and that is what he has been mocked for saying.
