Paul Johnson is one of my all-time favorites.
Thanks!
Oh, I am glad you enjoyed it! :)

Now, we can all criticize the way he has pursued that mission. He has certainly made mistakes in detail, notably in underestimating the problems that have inevitably followed the overthrow of the Saddam Hussein regime in Iraq, and overestimating the ability of U.S. forces to tackle them.Oh, yeah. Not to mention the fact that the MSM does NOT report the progress and good things happening in Iraq, PLUS the MSM actually working for Dubya's downfall and failure and ouster from the White House.
Media Research Center:
Dan Rather on Bill Clinton:
"I think hes an honest man."OReilly: "I want to ask you flat out, do you think President Clintons an honest man?"
Rather: "Yes, I think hes an honest man."
OReilly: "Do you, really?"
Rather: "I do."
OReilly: "Even though he lied to Jim Lehrers face about the Lewinsky case?"
Rather: "Who among us has not lied about something?"
OReilly: "Well, I didnt lie to anybodys face on national television. I dont think you have, have you?"
Rather: "I dont think I ever have. I hope I never have. But, look, its one thing-"
OReilly, jumping in: "How can you say hes an honest guy then?"
Rather: "Well, because I think he is. I think at core hes an honest person. I know that you have a different view. I know that you consider it sort of astonishing anybody would say so, but I think you can be an honest person and lie about any number of things."
OReilly: "Really?!?"
Rather: "Yeah, I do."
OReilly: "See, I cant. I want my government to be honest across-the-board. I dont want people lying."
And here is how low the Democrats have sunk:

Amen. Sums it up well right there at the end.
Not sure if you saw this but I know you are a Paul Johnson fan, Yes?

Kerry's father's father was Jewish and European who immigrated to America, left his original name which started with a K, and his religion behind. Until the primary for this election campaign, JFK attended St Paddy's Day parades etc as a descendant of Irish immigrants - as so many Boston residents are.
There are threads on FR about 'the outing.'

It actually is surprising to see how much Johnson is able to discern about Bush's presidency if he has to rely on the BBC and CNN International..
I found it bittersweet that he discusses 'the hard work' that is needed to defeat this terrorism, and that is what Bush kept saying in the first - foreign policy focus - debate, and that is what he has been mocked for saying.
