Fleeing SUV Suspected of Carrying Illegal Immigrants Causes 11-Car Crash, Killing Six in Ariz.
The Associated Press
SIERRA VISTA, Ariz. (AP) - A stolen sport utility vehicle that had been chased by deputies rolled over at a busy intersection near a Army post Saturday, causing an 11-car crash that killed six people and injured 15, sheriff's officials said. Deputies believed the SUV was carrying illegal immigrants in Cochise County, in southeastern Arizona. They first saw the vehicle driving out of a brushy area along a highway and trailed it for a short time, sheriff's spokeswoman Carol Capas said.
Deputies called for backup and stopped chasing the vehicle after the suspect sped and drove away recklessly, Capas said.
Authorities then spotted the SUV heading north on State Route 90. Sierra Vista police officers used tire deflation devices to slow the vehicle, said Frank Valenzuela, a spokesman for the Department of Public Safety.
At a busy intersection near the east entrance to Fort Huachuca, the driver lost control and the SUV rolled several times, causing a wreck that involved 11 cars, Valenzuela said.
The crash occurred shortly before noon. Traffic in the area was diverted to Tombstone while authorities investigated.
The vehicle had been reported stolen in Phoenix, Capas said.
Took the words right out of my mouth off my fingers.
Those SUVs look big and dumb, kind of like offensive linemen, but they are really pretty smart. They know who wants 'em extinct...they don't want to be bringing in a lot of illegal aliens to vote for the 'rats.
Pray-tell, what nationality of illegal migrant? I figure by now Mexicans know nothing bad is going to happen to them, so.....what does Spanish with an Arab accent sound like?
Arizona. It sounds Spanish to me.
Hola que tal? Come es mi espanol? Me olvide' tan mucho.
It'll be interesting to see how others report this. An ER doctor talked with my son about 4 hours after it happened, after the doc came off shift.
He said 5 people died at the scene (DOA) and 2 more died while he had them in our ER. Seven, not 6.
It happened on the border in Cochise County, Arizona. We have some darned fine citizens whose families came from Mexico.
Some of the families were here before this was part of the U.S.
"what does Spanish with an Arab accent sound like?"
Hmm....buenos salaam?
Rush should have fun with this Monday...
FMCDH(BITS)
Not sure I want to see the newspaper tomorrow. Chances are high we're going to see names of friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
I expect a new "SUV Update" on Rush this Monday....
Make sure none of them use their heritage to take tax money and we are square.
Most of the ones I know are so torqued over the illegal situation they can't see straight. After all they had to do to become U.S. citizens, to see this BS coming over the border has them livid.
I am immigrating my fiance to the US, so I know of which you speak. It is ridiculous. I didn't know I had to be rich to help my fiance come to me.
Yes, yes, but all the open border leftist will focus on the SUV part of the story, and conveniently ignore the death and mayhem caused by this endless invasion. Watch and see, it's already here on this thread.
What is ironic is that it happened right next to an Army base.
An *Army* base. Practically everyone
in town works in some "defense"-related capacity, but 11-car
pileups and massive shootouts on I-17
just doesn't count somehow? Just D**M
I mean I-10. I live in Phoenix,give me a break
The next sound you hear will be that of the ambulance chasing hispanic advocate lawyers getting ready to file the lawsuits...
The US citizens injured in this incident should be suing the @$$ off the Mexican government.
Ping!
