Comparing counties that voted strongly for Bush to those that voted strongly for Gore in the 2000 election, the study shows that in pro-Bush counties only 7 percent of voters earned at least $100,000, while 38 percent had household incomes below $30,000. In the pro-Gore counties, fully 14 percent pulled in $100,000 or more, while 29 percent earned less than $30,000.

Very enlightening. I never quite thought of it that way.

Gotta luv the way Kerry wants to help the people at, as he says, "your level". Not only is he out of touch, he was never in touch in the first place. As he has lived, how could he be?

I wish all these rich dogooders would leave the rest of us alone. We'll keep our Guns, Religion and old fashioned pride in the US. As for them, they can go to Hell.

Remember, however, that salaries are generally higher in places like New York and San Francisco (which have always been Democratic strongholds) because the cost of living (housing, taxes, food, etc.) is so damn high. $45,000 a year may mean "middle class" in Arkansas. In New York, that's considered poverty.

should be required reading for all Democrats BTW. Might get them thinking. And... Euro-Peons should read it too.

For those who missed it, here's yet another example of egalitarian Kerry's connection to regular Americans: Kerry and my sister.

And yet the rats will continue to lie and call Pubbies the party of the rich. When we used to have a press, they would have told the voters differently. Too bad we don't have a press anymore.

Hmmm. Dumocrats the party of the ultra-rich and the ultra-poor. Interesting combination.

And also the party of the superintellects (lacking in common-sense) and the supermoronic (lacking in both intellect AND common-sense, i.e. "the sheeple").

Not an election story, but a good article nonetheless.

And should conflict ever break out between the left and right here in the US, those very same "elites" will be the game of choice for many of we 'the little people'.

I despise Kerry with all my heart. I won't vote for him. That said, Bush grew up in wealthy family too. While I believe that Bush connects better with me I also see his stand on economics (signing trade treaties without public discourse - also known as "fast tracking", immigration policies, trade policies, etc.) are just as elitist as any limousine liberal.
