[history]
Democrats, it seems, are preparing to take tough measures in response to any voter-intimidation tactics that Republicans may employ in the November election.
And, apparently, it won't even matter if those tactics are actually employed or not.
Hey, the Dems figure, it can't hurt to make the claims anyway.
That's the message in a 66-page Election Day manual put together by the Kerry-Edwards campaign and the Democratic National Committee for use by supporters in dozens of states.
The manual instructs staffers to "launch a 'pre-emptive strike' " in case "no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged."
One page from that manual, specifically intended for Colorado Democrats, surfaced on the Internet; the DNC confirmed its authenticity.
What, specifically, would the Democrats do?
Start a media blitz featuring minority-community leaders "denouncing tactics that discourage people from voting."
The manual, by the way, also suggests that Democrats should "warn newspapers not to accept advertising" that doesn't meet with the Kerry campaign's approval.
With suggestions like that, you've got to wonder just who exactly is preparing to engage in intimidation.
Republicans?
Or Democrats?
(Hint: Threatening newspapers usually counts as intimidation.)
Central to the Dems' conspiracy-theory claims is that Republicans plan to "steal the election." You know, just like they did four years ago.

As the Rocky Mountain News reports, on Wednesday after Colorado's governor and secretary of state, both Republicans, warned that any case of voter-registration fraud would be prosecuted state Democrats immediately put out a release denouncing the threat as "voter intimidation." And wouldn't you know? the press release just happened to quote two minority elected officials. As it happens, massive fraud in registering Democratic voters has been documented this year and constitutes a genuine attempt to manipulate the election. But Dems aren't interested in that kind of fraud. Dims will also use Daley Vote-Mfg, Inc-----the family-owned company that delivers votes wherever needed...... after the precincts close. Even if the number of votes delivered exceeds voter registration in the precinct.

HOW GEORGE BUSH STOLE THE ELECTION "Al, this is David Boies. I apologize for calling so late, but this won't wait." "Look, I know you've already conceded, but I've been talking to some folks in Florida and they think they can find enough extra votes down there to give you the state in a recount."
"Just a recount in Volusia, Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade counties, though."
"If it goes statewide our people will be spread too thin to keep things under control."
"Do you want to give it a try? At this point you've got nothing to lose."
"That's great, Al. I'll give 'em a call and we'll get this show on the road."
"Call Bush right away to let him know you've changed your mind."
"On second thought, call a press conference first."
"Talk to you later, Mr. President." |

The way CNN is reporting it, if states like PA and FL are close they will be contested. If that happens they will fight to get Kerry votes in and Bush votes out, and there will be no clear winner. If they can't get Kerry in, they'll call GWB an illegitimate president.
I can see this destroying the entire process, and the certainty of elections in America gone forever. I mean the certainty of having them, not any certainty of results. This would be Gore's legacy.

"Isn't there a law against this? Basically they are plotting to thwart or sabotage the election." Last I heard, the DNC has legal teams already poised in at least 15 possible "close" states ready to sue if the vote count falls within certain margins.

Click the picture & goto "last" for the latest on Vote Fraud:
...and a note from your compiler of links- near the "last" are links about ACORN, Project Vote, PIGRIM, and other far-Left pressure groups who hide under the "activist" label while subverting representative government.
These nasty characters demean and dilute the value of everyone's vote.
The plan, besides their hope of throwing the election to sKerry, is to so thoroughly corrupt the election results that Mr. Bush will either not be taken seriously, or open to impeachment.
You had better take this stuff seriously- it is a dagger aimed at the heart of the Republic.

I read this document on line and it is just disgusting. It tells them who to get to speak to the media, what they should say etc. Of course it is leading minorities they say to round up to say they were intimidated, etc. It is despicable, but then, that is pretty much the DNC now.
