Yeah, you gotta watch those poles...someone needs to take one to Kerry over the Mary Cheney remark.

The only reason I think this might be true is because Bush was in Oregon yesterday. There's no way he's spending time in states that his internal polls show him getting whupped.

Follow the candidates. At this point in the campaigns, all they're doing is trying to cement leads, or steal states that the other party won last time.

I think the Wash Post just did. 64% said it was a bad move on Kerry's part!

Speaking of MA breaking for Bush. What is it with MA being one of the top 5 states being visited by Kerry according to Washingtonpost? 12 visits. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-srv/politics/elections/2004/charting.html
Could Kerry actually be losing ground in Massachusetts? RealClearpolitics has Bush up about 15% in the last month although he has a little ways to go to pull into the lead. That is still a huge swing.

Keep in mind, they have already started to vote in Oregon. They prefer that most voters send in mail ballots. It is becoming difficult to vote in person, on election day, in Oregon.

The polls (poles?) are encouraging here, no doubt. But looking at what is playing out in the media right now, the accusations of fraud in voter registration drives, I can easily imagine Oregon being poised to become the next Floriduh. There is the potential for some real ugliness in the near future. Don't forget the party affiliation of our chief election official and his actions of the recent past. Unlike Florida, the power at the top levels of state government is not on our side.

Two things:

1) Portland will withhold their results like they did last time until every other district has reported. Even if they have to wait weeks. Why? because a huge metro area like that can come up with just enough fraud to win no matter how the rest of the state votes. Oregon is a big place and 95% of the land mass is conservative.

2) You should hold onto your ballots until the last day so you can drive them to a collection point yourself. Less time and chance for someone to misplace, challenge, or just plain change your vote.

The vote by mail system is our doom here. So many ways to cheat, you don't even need a physical person to beat the system just lots of envelopes with democrats signatures who may or may not even even know they voted.

The insanity. I will round up every republican I know to vote this year. I have hope, but I'm not getting my hopes up. What we will do however is bury them in votes for Bush that they will have to deal with. Maybe, just maybe, they'll have to cheat so big they won't be able to hide it this year. We shall see.

Pray for our state. We need it.

Not funny since Bradbury kept Nader off the Oregon ballot.

Thanks...

Truthfully, I'm hoping that Bush wins New Jersey, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. Then we don't need Oregon.
