www.electoral-vote.com also calls it for Bush, and has been doing so for some time, and the projection (other than a little pucker for Kerry after the first debate) was 318 for Bush.

The Dim running that site actually does a pretty good job IMHO, but has now stopped linking to the projected final result map page. He still compiles it, but doesn't put the pointer up. ;')

Don't assume PA will go Democratic. The Bush/Cheney volunteers are working like hell to put the state in the red column.

I believe the people in Iowa will vote aright. More and more are recognizing Kerry for what he is...and for what he isn't.

His reading material (book page) outs him for what he is. I stopped looking there, despite the fact that I like his format.

I have it going for Bush...look real close at the numbers and the states...I reversed the colors at the urging of AnnaZ on this thread. Red is much more a fitting clor for Kerry.

I can hear the legal attacks on Nov 3.: "But your honor, we registered 110% of the eligible population as democrats, felons, homeless, derelicts, and the dead were all taken to the polls and paid to vote for Kerry. There had to be voter fraud in order for President Bush to have won. You must over turn this election and award it to Kerry." This will be the argument delivered with a straight face too.

Unles there is soething inthe future about PA, Bush is pulling troops and money out of PA and reducing ads. Sadly, this will be a lot closer than we think. I truly fear for the future of our country. Those of us who cherish Liberty are a shrinking minority. Unfortunately, the demographics are in favor of the parasitic socialists. I pray Jeff's prediction is correct. I can't believe how anyone with a rational mind could EVER think of voting for the traitor-Kerry.

Jeff, I’m afraid I find myself in a very, very small minority on this thread.

I believe you are being optimistic, especially about New England and Pennsylvania. I believe Maine and New Hampshire will fall into the Kerry column, and, as of now, it appears that the momentum in Pennsylvania is leaning that way as well. Bush’s strength in Ohio, Wisconsin and Iowa also appears to be waning, so I see all three of them as a toss-up.

Worst case scenario (Kerry sweeping New England and the other four questionables):

Kerry: 284
Bush: 254

But I believe, if the election were held today, it would probably fall:

Bush: 271 (Bush holding WI and IA)
Kerry: 267 (Kerry taking OH, PA, ME, and NH from your Bush column)

There are two weeks left for the media to wreak additional havoc, and for last-minute democrat lies to be voiced and unanswered. The future of this republic literally rests in the hands of the genius ‘undecided’ element of the population that has chosen to live with their heads in the sand during the most perilous period of our nation’s history. If they can bring themselves to move away from their television sets sometime during the day or evening of the 2nd, the members of this group will no doubt decide to pull the lever next to the ticket whose campaign rhetoric struck the most recent superficial chord with them since their belated awakening from their apathetic stupor.

Let me give you an idea of what I see as the typical ‘undecided’ voter (which purportedly comprises up to ten percent of the electorate at this point in time):

The mother of one of my piano students has almost always come in to listen to her son’s lesson every week. Since he is my last lesson of the night, she and I would invariably talk for a while afterwards. I would occasionally discuss politics and got the impression that she was not well versed, but very interested. A few months ago, I obtained tickets for her and her husband and their two children to attend a Bush rally in Lancaster. They were very impressed with what they saw and heard there, and came away very enthused. Showed me dozens of photos of the family, Bush himself on the podium, etc. As recently as three weeks ago, she asked me for one of the Bush/Cheney yard signs I have been handing out.

This afternoon, no more than three weeks later, I happened to ask my student why his Mom hasn’t come in during his lesson for the past couple of weeks (she waits out in the car). He replied, ‘I think she feels funny because she and my Dad have decided to vote for Kerry.’ When I asked him why the dramatic turnaround, he replied, ‘because Kerry believes in women’s rights more than Bush does, and he really spoke well in the debates.’

Although I pray that I am wrong, I am afraid that these parents represent a microcosm of the aforementioned genius block known as the ‘undecideds’.

The democrats intend to win this election, come hell or high water. ‘Provisional ballots’ are going to cause an unprecedented nightmare. The voter registration fraud in my area alone is unprecedented, and almost exclusively democrat – and the Rendell-appointed ‘poll-watchers’ will surely see to it that Philadelphia and Pittsburgh register sufficient Kerry/Edwards votes to place Pennsylvania’s 21 electorals in the Kerry column. And I don’t believe the shenanigans going on in Pennsylvania are an anomaly. The results of this election may come down to a couple of battleground states, and you can bet the democrats are already planning court challenges in those battleground results that fall the wrong way (and the key word is ‘court’).

The leftists are insane over the fact that they believe they should have been in power these last four years. How dare a non-elitist assume the reins! So, even in the event that Bush/Cheney pull it out on November 2nd, be prepared. The leftists will not go quietly into that good night and allow another four years of non-elitist governance. Every time Bush makes what could be interpreted as a mistake or misjudgment of any kind, it will be portrayed as an impeachable offense. A political coup d’etat will not be out of the question.

(I know. No ‘Miss Congeniality’ nominations are in the works for me. I long ago gave up hope of qualifying for that particular award. Genuine realism, no matter how unsettling, has a much stronger allure.)

Don’t get me wrong. I am not rolling over and playing dead. None of us can. I decided after the first debate to spend a good part of the ensuing few weeks doing all that I can to educate people regarding the Kerry/Edwards ticket. I decided to spend much of my free time between that debate and November 2nd (as many of us did for Pat Toomey back before the April primary) returning to the same neighborhoods I visited back in April, going door-to-door. I have probably spoken to close to 250 people so far, and, while I have been uplifted by their receptiveness and interest in learning facts that they generally did not know, I am also discouraged by the astounding lack of knowledge I am witnessing. Between now and November 2nd, for every person who will be educated regarding the duplicity and wickedness represented by the Kerry/Edwards ticket, there are probably hundreds more who will enter the voting booth either indoctrinated by lies or voting on superficial emotion.

Prayer is a powerful weapon. And on November 2nd it will be the only one remaining in the arsenal of those who will not stoop to lies and criminality in order to preserve or obtain power.

Agree 100% I bought Stolen Honor and Celcius 41.11. Both GREAT! The more air time the better...they take Kerry and his record and campaign completely apart.

God bless you for those efforts. I mean that literally. Those efforts, and those of millions just like you Joanie, will do more than any of us can imagine. If we couple that good hard work, with optimism that right will prevale, and with our prayers for God's help (ala II Chron 7:14)...then I believe with all my heart that our optimism and dream will be turned to reality.

..and if in God's will it is not so...then we lace up our boots, cinch up our trousers, get up from where we have fallen...and go right back to work on it from there with the same determination, optimism, faith and hard work.

You know me...I see the cup as perpetually half full because we know how the story ends...and despite the hardship and difficulty...it ends good, and right, with a glorious dawning.

As always, the very best Fregards.
