Has anyone else noticed O'Reilly's move to the left reecently? Could he have been positioning himself to blunt the impact of the recent charges by falling more into line with the main stream media, thereby hoping to get a pass from them on this? After all, he's almost one of them now, right?
Let's face it, if this were Hannity or Rush, the roar would be deafening.
Not sure if I posted this correctly; sorry if it is not the way to post a vanity. I am definitely interested in people's thought's on this though.

O man lost me a long time ago. He is looking out for him and him only, and to be honest I believe these stmts. It now makes me happy he says he is not a REPUBLICAN.
O'Reilly's rise to the top was so swift it gave him the bends. I truly do not think many of us could come out of a success like his with our brains intact. Money and celebrity can make idiots of us all.

All of Fox has been moving left.
Remember how he said a Rather, a Brokaw, an O'Reilly would never use forged docs because it would kill their career.
Maybe he was conciously or sub-conciously insulating himself against this charge, implying that someone of his rank would never do this. Further, he may have been trying to position himself as a mainstream icon above reproach instead of the right-wing hack the libs try to portray him as.
He can kiss that idea off.
Bill O'Reilly is and always has been nothing but a gimmick artist. Hannity and Rush actually believe what they say, whereas O'Reilly is simply playing a role, much like Stern, Imus et al.
Pretty much my take on it.
I think O's recent actions are more of a suck up to get Kerry on his show. Liberals don't like talking to hosts they consider hostile, only our side does that as they don't have much to hide.
Other than cause Rather a few sweaty moments, I can't see how he's been harmed (unfortuately IMHO).
I'll be glad when Mr. O is gone from Fox. He has been leaning left just to make himself look better for years. That's the main reason I stopped watching him a long time ago. I call him the "Fence Rider" of Fox. And I believe he did make the phone sex calls. I bet she's got it on tape.
The same thing occurred to me. He has seemed to be sucking up .. and this would certainly be a good reason.
What I think is a more interesting point, is after reading the "he said" and "she said" documents posted at Drudge .. I notice that O'Reilly hasn't made a denial.
There are the claims of extortion .. but I didn't see a denial. Could be she taped the convo's.
