For the last few days I've been treating a big fireant bed in my front lawn here in Houston. Treat it one day, it just moves to a new location by the next day. Also have lost two Bush/Cheney signs this week. When I got my new sign I decided to pound it as hard as possible into that big ant bed and the black gumbo soil below. When I went to get the paper at 4:30 this morning I noticed the sign was laying in the grass. Not stolen like before but flung a few feet from the ant bed. I can just imaging someone planting themselves firmly and pulling up as hard as possible - until all those little critters found their way up his pant legs.
You are not allowed to do that unless you have a video camera recording so that we can all watch the action...

ROTFLMAO!!! I Love it!
ROTFLMJO. Way to go!!!!!
Hey I work at our local Repub. HQ where we give out the yard signs. We are SO careful to make sure the staples are folded all the way tight and smooth so no one cuts their hands on them. Voila! Just leave the staples with the sharp parts sticking straight out. There will be lots of nasty painful little razor sharp cuts in the thief's fingers. I can tell you it is painful! We have cut our hands just trying to make the signs. It hurts. And if there are lots of sharp edges OUCH!
We are writing inside of our folded signs...
"Private property of ____________" and writing our own name there. If they steal it, they have stolen private property, and CAN be prosecuted IF caught.
Fireants are our friends.
A "What a great thread" BUMP!
Motion Activated Indoor Alert ( model 6019 ). I have one of these installed above the garage door and it works well. The outdoor sensor is weatherproof, is wireless, and has a good adjustable range, so you'll be alerted to the perp well before he gets to the garage door. No wiring - just put batteries in the outdoor unit, set the address, mount it on the garage, and adjust the range. The indoor unit permits incandescent lighting up to 300 watts and has a volume control for the alarm. They didn't have it at Lowes so I bought it at Home Depot. I paid about $35 for the set.
Stealth PIR & Motion Detector 35 mm Game Surveillance Camera available at Walmart. I don't have one of these, but I'm planning to purchase one this weekend (unless I can find something just a bit smaller). It's about $60 on Walmart's website, but I assume it will be available in the sporting goods section at the local store.
I also have two CCD cameras set up (KG-500P1 and KG-190SWB) and connected to VCR's. Unfortunately, I don't have motion detectors on the cameras.
"ROTFLMJO. Way to go!!!!!"
TOO FUNNY!!!!!!!!! And the story of the fire ants reminds me of something I did years ago. My children had decorated pumpkins and wanted to set them nearer to the road where people could see them. (we lived off the road several hundred feet). Of course the pumpkins were smashed by morning. So they carved one more pumpkin and tried it again. I painted the entire pumpkin orange, with a thick coat of paint....and you know what? Paint on a pumpkin just refuses to dry in the damp northwest where we lived at the time. Can you imagine the shock on the next vandals face when they found out their hands were ORANGE?! This would work on yard signs as well.....LOL
GI Ping
Donkeys are conservative creatures...I'll bet they just hate being the Democrat mascot!
LOL!
Monday, I am off to the Philippines, and you know exactly why I am going.
Be careful. Even though these idiots are trespassing and commiting assorted crimes, you might end up getting sued. So, be sure you don't accidentally get any fecal matter on the nails that could cause severe infections.
HA! HA! HA! I love it. That would've made a terrifically funny home video.
Bwaahahahahahah!!!!!
