I think President Bush won hands down. sKerry seems more and more outside mainstream America.
But I was VERY disappointed in the President's responses to the criminal invasion along our southern border. His idea on a "worker card," quite frankly, sucks. We FIRST need to stop the invasion cold. Then worry about worker cards, etc.
The speculative story today about Chechen terrorists crossing the border made my blood run cold. I sincerely hope it is unfounded.

Kerry should have been slapped after that comment about Cheney's daughter.I was trying to listen on the radio but I missed it (I'm still at work). What did he say?

Just imagine.......sKerry's over the top statement about
a lesbian just may help put Bush/Cheney over the top with
respect to the electoral count.

They are talking about Kerry's comment on Cheney's daughter on Fox now. Also about how Kerry's campaign manager said that "She was fair game" and wondering whether Kerry might have to apologize. They are saying "What has she doen to become a target".
This might be something that has legs.

You must of missed the first debate here.No I didn't, but I missed two thirds of this one having gotten so sick after the first 30 minutes of the rehearsed answers, talking points, pandering, repetition, etc, that I followed Elvis out of the building.

If THIS was a knockout then what in heavens name should the Pres.'s clear win the last time be called?
To: snooker
Absolutely - I was hoping he would bring up his "effective" tax rate. It didn't happen. It must be the "October" surprise.

CNN's Carlos Watson and Jeff Greenfield both have it a Kerry sweep!

The importance of swing voters is grossly overestimated.
I can agree with you. It gives false hope to kerry more than W. We do want as many people who are P-Oed at W but do not want Kerry in to come back to the Right side. In some states, as little as 200 voters can make a difference.

CNN and MSNBC appear to be attempting to convince themselves that Kerry and Bush had a draw - they looked worried. I caught about 2 minutes of the Fox post-debate show before I took the dogs out for a walk. I liked what I heard. It Bush by a unanymanous decision. Unless I misunderestimate.

It was sooo funny when Kerry basicly, "Yea I married up,..um..lets talk about my MOM!"
To: bayourod
Many of us know that Cheney's daughter is a lesbian. But this is something that Kerry should NOT have used in a debate for partisan political purposes. The young woman has the right to privacy. It will cause people to discuss the issue, it just brings publicity to her. That was inexcusable for Kerry to put her in the spotlight in that manner, just to score points.

You just have to love George. He starts out slow but ramps up to a big finish and comes through in the last debate when it really counts. I think a lot of his sincerity showed through tonight and he made Kerry SWEAT....literally. Mr. Phony just can't compete with the real thing.
