After it was discovered that Sinclair Broadcasting Group (SBGI) was planning to broadcast an anti-Kerry documentary days before the election, outraged individuals turned into activists by organizing action against the company. According to the Los Angeles Times, SBGI is planning to run the documentary, Stolen Honor, without interruption as a "news special" allegedly in order to skirt equal times laws.

Apparently the Dem's efforts aren't working that well here is a reply from OVERSTOCK.COM

I'm sorry that you have decided to not to purchase from Overstock.com again - even in light of the good service we have provided in the past. Our decision to purchase, advertise, and distribute Fahrenhype 9/11 was purely a business decision and does not reflect any political statement whatsoever. As you can see from the webpage in the attached link (http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?SEC_IID=4831&PA... GE_ID=2197), not only do we sell Fahrenheit 9/11 and Fahrenhype 9/11 side by side (as well as books by Bill Clinton and Al Franken on the left and Dick Morris on the right), but we list Fahrenheit 9/11 first on the page.

It's interesting to me that no one has ever contacted us to express concerns or question our patriotism as a result of our selling Fahrenheit 9/11.

Let a hundred flowers bloom.

Respectfully,

Jonathan Johnson
VP, Corporate Affairs

Lol, I love it, especially the nonchalant "let a hundred flowers bloom" line. Kudos for them for recognizing the hypocrisy of criticizing Fahrenhype while at the same time not saying a word against F-911.

Well if they are talking about books, which they are - Morris has wrote a Clinton bashing book.

In 1956, Mao Zedong decided it was time to allow people in China to speak their minds free from fear of persecution by the government. Mao wanted to encourage free speech and healthy arguments. This was introduced with the phrase "let a hundred flowers bloom."

"let a hundred flowers bloom."

Funny!

From post: "outraged individuals turned into activists - "

like Kerry's pals - upset that the truth might come out -

The spin on the debate is heavy already - Women just love Kerry and the flip/flop line is working against President Bush - In which party's dream - ?

Somehow -- call me a cynic, I know -- I suspect these activists and their protests are about as spontaneous as a Swiss watch.

Dick is an unprincipled hired gun who works for both Left and Right. He has a personal vendetta against Hitlery but that does not make him a man of the Right.

I am sure that Sinclair is WELL AWARE of the DU stunts and has contacted their advertisers.

WE CAN SEND E-MAILS OF SUPPORT to them. I got the list off DU link and just put a support note in the title line. Copied and pasted to each address and sent them out. It took 5 minutes.

The sentiment at Sinclair couldn't be clearer. The spokesman I saw said they would pay fines and risk financial ruin because they owe it to the men who suffered in Vietnamese prisons.

Ya gotta respect that attitude.

Can you post the email addresses of the companies that do advertise on Sinclair so that I can write and encourage them to not give in to the left's threats?

Thanks.

I didn't know the left's boycott against Pepsi had stopped.

One of my sister-in-laws is/was a union activists & when her son came to visit, we'd go to KFC or Taco Bell.. "Mom won't let us go there because we're boycotting them." Well, Mom & her union buds filled up some 55 gallon drum of some kind of crud & they were going to dump it in front of some business, I think a local Pepsi distributer. The son found out they were going to put the thing on his wagon to do the deed & he protested their protest by taking the wheels off of his wagon. I think that drum is still sitting in their union hall & it's been a number of years.
