I do if the wife is "still" in love with the man and had no idea of his philanderings(s)

You remind me of those people who were convinced Kobe Bryant was a rapist.

You see how that turned out.

O'Reilly's wife ought to kick your ass.

Could she have related her stories to her colleagues at CNN, who suggested she make the ploy to return, this time armed with tape recorder?

Interesting that her boss at CNN was terminated for sexual harrassment ...

Can anyone tell me if he's going to discuss this on his show tonight or did he and I missed it? (I got a phone call at the start of his show and missed his "talking points."_

If he did mention this thing, what did he say??

What I find so damaging is when ever a liberal skank like Clinton et al are in the same boat they're not damaged

Wait a minute. Originally Clinton looked damaged, and people were busy speculating that he would be gone within a couple weeks.

Did you get a chance to read Foxnews' response to this allegation? They presented their policy papers that state that any SH must be reported to management. She actually violated their rules for employment by not reporting ANY of this to management. Fox is not responsible for this...although I'm sure the MSM will have a different perspective.

You make a good point. Somehow I have difficulty picturing O'Reilly as this stupid. He has good and bad points. I've appreciated how he has stood up for child victims and to corrupt laywers such as Feldman. No duobgt he has done gtood and has the courage to speak out where others have remained silent. On the other hand, he has had some incredibly sleazy guests who have provided nothing of interest. And some of his comments lately have seemed odd at best.

Holy cow! I just read the complaint. I am no fan of O'Reilly's and I don't think he is a conservative by any stretch of the imagination, but this is just incredible. I wondered while reading it, why the woman kept going to dinner with him, having phone conversations, etc. if she was so upset and frightened by his vulgar behavior?

Looks like this could be a dirty trick pulled by Carvile and company, but who knows? The left said the Star report was porno? No, this is porno!

If that is the case based on the complaint...then it would be wise to cut O'Really from the Fox Family as soon as possible. There must be a "values" clause in Bill's contract that would allow for his immediate disappearance from the air. I was just looking at it from my point of view. Bill has very little support left in the conservative circles.

Chalk it up to the fact that there are a lot of anti-O people here. If fact, this guy signed on yesterday with an anti-O vanity and he was an instant hero.

Now on O'Reilly they are talking about how Scott Ritter's money may have come from Saddam via the guy that was paying for his film, etc.

Now who else is talking about this stuff! Almost no one yet O is EVIL.

Only indirectly. Bush's re-election doesn't hinge on the credibility of Fox News or O'Reilly, and this story doesn't really go to the heart of that, either. Neither are part of the Bush Administration, nor does anyone seriously think that the accusations, if true, would be condoned by Bush.

The charges against CBS are far more serious in terms of credibility than are raised here. The big loser is O'Reilly who has been accused of hooking a vibrator to his privates while initiating phone sex with an unwilling participant. Nobody likes to envision that, but it's hard to imagine that anyone would change a Presidential vote over it.

the best scenario would be for Fox to put Bill on leave...

The best scenario would be for you to leave your extreme bias out of this, and see it for what it is.

Extortion.

If this were true, O'Reilly would have folded. He knows he wouldn't survive.

This is Anita Hill, redux. You can bet there are some other players in this story, trying to bring down FOXNEWS.

You could very well be right in your assertions.

Unfortunately, perception is everything in the eyes of the public. WHAT was this man thinking of, going out to dinner alone with a woman, in this day and age, under a supervisor/employee relationship?

And the one time she had a friend with her, I am going to hazard a guess that her friend will support the assertions. On a conspiracy level, this would also presume that the plaintiff has offered to give a big chunk of the 'proceeds' to the attendant friend.

Reading thru the plaintiff's lawsuit, I could honestly "hear" Mr. O, a man whom I DO believe has an over-inflated 'sense of self', making the alleged comments, believing himself to be above and beyond this type of charge.

Anyway this comes out, we will probably never know. As I am convinced this will be settled out of court under court seal.

I don't think the 'values' clause contains any statement about letting someone go because he is filed with a false lawsuit.

He addressed it in his opening statement with some background statements and then close that this was 'just about them trying to get me' (paraphrased)

Suddenly, he'll be labeled a conservative again.

Exactly, while we all know he isn't! In fact, the complaint says that, in a sneering way, it is disgusting. Of course, if true, it is horrible, but still, they are linking him to Bush and Cheney in the complaint. Makes you wonder!

Interesting that her boss at CNN was terminated for sexual harassment

Some coincidence.. It must have lulled Bill into a false sense of security. "Oh Bill please take me back. My big bad CNN boss is a sexual harasser. Save me Bill, be my hero. Treat me right like you always did."
