O'Reilly in trouble!
a word to the wise: you are always being video and audio recorded.
The timing of this is suspicious.
I personally think they should have taken Greta off a long time ago and gave Sean his own show, but to no avail.
How many times can we hear about the Peterson trial without puking???
Maybe if BOR is going, Sean will get his chance.
I'm with you ,I would love to see Hannity get his own show.
"O has always stated that his show is NOT a news show and that he is not a newsman."
---That is absolutely untrue!! BOR states that he is a newsman like Rather, Jennings, and Brokejaw and that Rush is the "entertainer". Just go back to his Rather comments when he in fact said paraphrasing here "there's no way a journalist like me or Rather or Brojaw would knowingly used forged documents"
There you are again with at least something to bring a smile. Thanks.
I don't care if it's all true, partly true, or all lies - O'Reilly needs to be gone by Monday. Forget the ratings, they should hire Dennis Miller over from CNBC.
"a word to the wise: you are always being video and audio recorded."
And when you aren't being video or audio recorded, someone upstairs is still recording ;)
Of course it's lurid. It's her side. I'm not a big O'Reilly fan but unless it's more than he said/she said -- i.e. state troopers, dozens of different women, tapes catching him in lies etc. I'll give him a pass.
That may be true with respect to her claims against FNC. However, her case against O'Reilly is not going to be dismissed on the pleadings as he is alleged to have committed intentional acts.
Second, even if she can't prevail on the underlying harrasment claim, if it passes the sniff test (ie some of the allegations are true), her lawyer is well within his rights to discuss settlement with O'Reilly and with Fox. Furthermore, settlement disccusions are not permitted as evidence in court, pursuant to FRE 608, so Fox cannot prove extortion, especially since it seems that Morelli believed Fox was operating under good faith in an attempt to resolve these allegations.
Thanks for the analysis. : )
I could tell from a previous post that you're a lawyer who knows what he's talking about.
What I imagine is going on is that Morelli & Assoc. filed the suit for defensive purposes, knowing that they will get conflicted out of the case - thus the firm will now step aside without much of a fight.
But you never know; this Morelli guy is an interesting character:

Didn't O'Reilly convince Fox to file another lawsuit on his behalf a while back? I can't remember what it was about, but I remember it getting tossed out of court.
Timing.
FOX is associated with conservatives.
The biggest name on FOX is O'Reilly.
FOX and O'Reilly have been hammering the dems and MSM.
Kerry is in a box over having to go on the O show.
Bringing down O will hurt FOX and the conservatives.
Bringing down O will stop his support on the war on terror.
The election is less than two weeks away and Kerry is still trailing.
Nail O, hurt FOX, help MSM, get Kerry elected. hmmm
And how does Mrs. Myers feel about that? And how would you feel if she felt the same way about having something on the side?
I am involved in defending a case right now that involves an advesary party suing an opposing attorneys. The thing is a mess and a lot of the issues that are going to arise in the FNC case, have already arisen in mine.
It's up to FNC to conflict Morelli out of the harrassment case. I'll assume he'll fight it. But in the FNC extortion suit, there's no way, Mackris can be represented by Morelli.
Found it. O'Reilly had Fox file a lawsuit about the title of Al Franken's book. It was dismissed in 2003.
