It would be far more effective to just DO this (air them), and NOT telegraph it in advance, so that the Kerry Kamp can prepare counters. Beats me. All sides do that.

What a joke. Other than the initial furor in August over the original ad and "Unfit For Command", JF'n has done little but thumb his nose at the Swifties and say "so what, no one really cares what you think". And nobody with a real voice holds him accountable for this atrocious attitude. In fact, his media cheerleaders have all piled on, tripping over themselves to try and discredit an honorable group of American veterans. Of course, that's all the sport these days for the despicable liberal crowd.
And most disgustingly, nothing has really come from this, other than maybe assuaging some long-overdue feelings of betrayal within the Swifties; that at last they did the best they could and got their grievances aired. Too bad that in our instant-gratification culture nobody could really be bothered with a thiry-year-old grudge. Besides, the MSM said they were liars and our "LA Law" primed society seized immediately on this as "reasonable doubt". Nothing to see here folks, move along.
Let's face it, mainstream America doesn't give a damn about the military or our veterans. As a qualification, it buys you nothing in the race for the WH. It is only useful when it can be turned against your opponent (as in "I was there, where were you, slacker?") An openly-admitted pot-smoking draft-dodger was elected TWICE as the POTUS, both times against highly-decorated veterans who just happened to spend most of their lives dedicated to public service.
The handwriting is on the wall. Ours is a culture of "what have you done for me today". Lightweight feel-good messages, slick production numbers, and $500 haircuts are the order of the day.
Like Billy Crystal used to say, "It is better to look mah-velous than to be mah-velous". And you, John F'n Kerry, just "look mah-velous".

It just occurred to me:
These ads will run after the final debate, which is tonight.
So ... if Bush does poorly, this tries to cut any Kerry bounce off at the knees.
If Bush does well, these ads are a second and third stage, boosting him into ordbit.

Next buy should be the Oprah show.
Not that I want any of our money going to that traitor to America, but it will hit her women fan base -- many of them soccer/security moms.
To: liberty_lvr
well said liberty! People like my husband are risking their lives right now to keep this country safe! The media *claims* to support our troops blah blah blah! THEY KNOW better. I know this for a FACT they do not want to serve under Kerry!! Many I know have their retirement papers ready incase Kerry's wins, they will retire so they do NOT have this traitor's name on their retirement papers.

The killer line (in my opinion) in the first ad:
They were also decorated. Many very highly. But they kept their medals.
= = = =
BUT THEY KEPT THEIR MEDALS!
