The right-wing echo chamber Free Republic, where private citizens spit pseudonymous venom, is also a rich treasure trove of nastiness. In late 2003 when the Massachusetts Supreme Court voted to allow marriage rights for same-sex couples, the Freepers went off:
"This is great that Massachusett's gay judges did this. Let all the fudgepackers move there and be clients of the Dickem and Dunkem (Ted Kennedy) law firm," wrote a poster named "Therapist."
"Can I marry my mule?" asked another.
Another responded: "Sorry. Next step is to give them your boys. They want the age of consent lowered to around 10 years old. Your mule will have to wait in line."
"There is nothing 'normal' about homos," another added. "Even the wild animals know better (Except male goats. They're really filthy)."

I'd say this idiot is a fudgepacker. Just a hunch.
Marky Mark, what happened, did your 10 yearold boyfriend run off with your goat? No but seriously folks, when John Kerry is President, there will be no more dirty humor. People like Mark will get up out of his back seat in a dark city park and find love again.
One thing about Mark Follman - - she doesn't have much of a a sense of humor.
"right-wing echo chamber "
Hmmmm, I like it. It's got a nice conspiratorial ring to it.
Thats right Mark Follman, BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID!!! BWHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We wouldn't be printing our political thoughts for others to read, now would we? This is just a Salon en masse flame.
Salon can take a hike, it's that easy.
>>>Hey does Salon still sell kiddie porn??
Only the photoshopped, simulated kind that didn't have any kiddies in it - that's legal...thanks ACLU...
"where private citizens spit pseudonymous venom"
ROFL I like that. That's gonna be my new tagline.
This should bring more readers to FR. They'll want to see for themselves, what the hubbub is all about.
Thats a good tagline
Those Salonites are perverts
They're just miffed that we "amateurs" broke the CBS memogate story, while they were getting manicures, or whatever it is metrosexuals do.
I don't know - I think this article will make this site even more popular than it already is - and not for the issue itself. It was how it was handled, in my opinion - that people didn't care for.
The vote by the citizens of that state should have come first - before any change was made -
just a thought -
I spit only pseudonymous anti-venom.
One of the problems of liberalism is they have no core beliefs or foundation. Take marriage. It's not just an agreement between two persons, male and female, or any other combination. It's a covenant involving God. Marriage is between a man and a woman AND God. Marriage without God is not marriage. It's simply a legal partnership. I have a hard time believing that God would be a partner in a marriage other than between a man and woman.
And that's the way it's been all down through the ages since God created Adam and Eve, until the progressive/socialist/liberals got involved and brought government forces to bear. Now that we have the income tax, and special allowances for married persons, and health insurance policies forced on industry by government, and other government enforced regulations that offer benefits to married persons and spouses, unions, medicare, social security, etc, all with special provisions for married persons, we NOW have a problem. Now the government wants to solve the problem they created in the first place by eliminating GOD from the marriage covenant. From the day they do this forward, it will be "Those whom GOVERNMENT has joined together let no one put asunder."
According the left, the people's vote should come first only if it's in their best interest, otherwise, nullify the people's right to be heard through the Leftist courts.
You mean a poofter?
Or a powderpuff.
