Well, I wonder if what data they've gotten so far could give them an idea?

Don't worry about the lamp. If something around me were smelly and hot, I would turn on the light too!

I was laughing my head off about this the other night, and it's still funny today.

Gandalf holding a yellow lamp ...? Here's a scarier picture. Note the expression. Ready to eat a kitten.

The alien lander studying the volcano looks just like your living room lamp? They must be trying to reach you!

Gotta be careful with that older stuff. I heard about a guy who found a brand new Radio Shack Trash-80 in the box, and got like 10K for it.

I hear you. My wife told me about her grandmother selling all of her father's albums at a yard sale for a nickle a piece. These were things like original Elvis LPs. Yikes.

I like the evil twin lamp. Is that where you keep your pet spider? Does your spidey have a name?
I'm glad there are other people in the world who keep a spider around the house. (I usually keep my pet spidey up in a living room corner...much less chance of us sitting on one another)

Would that be the faint white spot in the upper middle of the screen?

Not on purpose... I got those spiders with the real long skinny legs all over (mostly in the bathroom.) They're harmless, and as long as they eat their daily quota of bugs, what the hey!
But then I got the kind that come up the drain into the bathtub... big, hairy beggars, I think they are called water spiders. Had one about a month ago that was almost as big as a tennis ball...
Now we have those Hobo spiders here, I don't have any mercy for them, they got a pretty nasty bite.
