The Threat Matrix
The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.
"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."
We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research. YOU Be The Judge and Get Informed!

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists. Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits. "It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel. And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election. |

Found this over at google groups looking for astronomy club, needs to be passed up the chain I think: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&group=sci.astro&selm=41723ecf_3%40news.athenanews.com Web Images Groups News Froogle more » Advanced Groups Search Preferences Search only in sci.astro.* Search all groups Search the Web Groups Viewing message <41723ecf_3@news.athenanews.com> Portable Hot Camp Showers Instant hot showers for camping, hunting, and RVs. So before any of you dildos south of the 49th parallel think I'm Muslim/Arab, think again. Shortly after we (Canadians) announced that we would side with our brothers who believe in Freedom and Democracy and not support the US of Asshole's terrorist activities in Iraq, your scumbag ambassador decreed that "there is a price to pay for defying America". We don't abide threats. I am a welder. I weld pipeline that carries everything from natural gas to drinking water. Frequently I perform a procedure known as a "hot tap". A hot tap is used to connect one pipeline to a second pipeline that is in service, in other words a pipeline that contains pressure, a pipeline that is "hot", thus the term "hot tap". The pressure in the line being tapped into does not drop during the procedure and I do it without spilling a drop because sometimes the line I tap carries hydrogen sulfide and it's not good to leak hydrogen sulfide. Usually takes me less than 4 hrs. start to finish. Imagine that, eh? I could, for example, rent a back hoe, paint a few trucks so they look like they belong to the New York City Waterworks, dig up a water main and hot tap it undetected (remember, no pressure drop and no spillage). Once hot tapped, I could pump pretty much whatever I wanted into that water line.... raw sewage, toxic waste, radioactive materials, whatever I wanted. In reality, I can't afford to do all that but I have a lot of Muslim friends who have friends with money and I mean BIG money and, like me, they all think you're all pig shit too, all 420 million of ya. Anyway, I taught a bunch of my Muslim brothers how to run a portable welder, how to weld and how to hot tap a line. My buddy taught them how to copy a logo, match paint colors and paint the copied logo onto another truck. Then we had a big party and the next day they headed south. Now I have 2 questions for you assholes. 1. Has your ambassador learned to keep his mouth shut yet? 2. How does your water taste? CNR

I fixed the formatting in post 663, did you read it?

Anyway, I taught a bunch of my Muslim brothers how to run a portable welder, how to weld and how to hot tap a line. Bravo Sierra. The person who wrote that probably is an expert welder and learned to do specialized operations over a period of years. No novice is going to learn to do that in a weekend or a whole bunch of weekends. Especially shoe-bomber types who would blow themselves up when the acetylene ignited if they could even figure out how to light the match.

The thing that got me was he said they headed south already and the place I bumped into it was on an astronomy group, I wasn't looking for anything terror related. Hot tapping and welding are not to hard to learn. The guy is making threats in his post, could be BS, maybe not.
To: Imperialist
The writer should definitely be investigated, no question, based on the threat.
We have a lot of pipefitters and welders around here in the nuclear industry. Those professional skills don't come easily nor to everyone who applies. I myself learned to weld on a hobby basis but I'm not much of a threat to a city water system!

I too weld as a hobby, autobody shop. I witnessed a hot tap on an 8" water pipe recently by the water company recently, they did spill some water, but not much and managed to graft a threaded valve onto it.
To: Imperialist
Interesting. I haven't attempted to weld real thin metal yet, but just pushed out a 2 inch deep dent in a Geo Metro by hand. Was afraid my hand was going to burst through the metal!

Did you report it? I would. Sounds out of the ordinary if there is generally no activity at that house.

Thanks for the post, UK Guy.

North Korea has already completed the development of plutonium-based nuclear weapons with the help of Pakistan, a senior Japanese official said in comments published Sunday. But...but...but...Pakistan is our FRIEND..and Islam is the Religion of Peace and worships the same God as Christians...accoring to our illustrious and very ignorant President.

I think this Canadian welder dude is full of hot air (and perhaps Moosehead beer & moosecheese) but he should be raked over some coals to test his metal.

"last Sunday a man trying to look Arab, was blatantly a white man with a beard who was dropping off women dressed in full garb at the house, escorts them to the door and would leave. He did this with 6 women and only one was not in full garb. There is never activity in this house, at times two vehicles parked in driveway, very weird"
Jeesh JP I hope you keep watching this house.
