The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

Actually EOM was conversing more with a handful of the members in private e-mails at the end. "He" kind of disappeared from "public view" early in the year. In the waning days of the site there was a character named Aljenaan Spencer that consumed most of the sites activity and basically resulted in the site owners saying enough of this crap and he closed it down.

If you want to stay healthy, stay away from the hospital.

Here's the kicker Oorang, if we have a terrorist attack, hospitals will be the busiest place of all. Kind of scary when the superbug may be lurking at one or more of them in addition to most likely inadequate staffing since most hospitals in my neck of the woods are laying off personnel to contain costs.

I want to read the transcript however. 'They' (alphabet networks) have reported that he distingishes specifically between Bush and Kerry as our choices, but I am skeptical. I believe it is probably more generic, was made at an earlier time when the two final choices were not known (and when he was still living before his 'incident' at Tora Bora....)

After that, I'll judge whether it is 'credible'.

(By the way, can we just knock their broadcast stations out once and for all and end the inciting against America in the Middle East? What would be so hard about doing that?)....

Good evening everyone.

I have just come off a 12 hour shift.

There is a very strong feeling that there will be at the least an attempt of a massive, multi pronged attack within the next 7 days.

Not certain if it will come directly before or after the election.

Most of the guys at work believe that it will happen before the end of next week (11/5).

I hope and pray that we are wrong but, fear that we are not.

Keep your eyes open and report ANYTHING that seems strange to you.

A bike in the truck is a very good idea.

Talking out a disaster scenarious with family members really brings up points we fail to consider. If car/truck batteries are ineffective for some reason, we would be stuck somewhere, possibly making us more susceptable to unknown danger. Blankets, extra food and flashlights are total necessities in trunks, along with bandages, water and clear ideas about alternate routes (or shelters) in mind in the event a fast get-away is required. If you would become "stuck" somewhere, how long would it take you to reach a designated location? Preparation may mean your survival, or that of a loved one driving your vehicle(s).
