 The Threat MatrixThe title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.
"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits. Just read the translation. Interesting, and not particularly helpful to Dubya's re-election campaign.
Sure looks to be a "go" signal to me. (JMHO). Did you guys also catch the following threats:?
"I say to the American people we will continue to fight you and continue to conduct martyrdom operations inside and outside the United States"
Oh, good.
Anyone have any additional opinions on how this fits in to what has been discussed here re: timelines, sequence of events, etc?
Since AQ has said they want to interrupt the elections, I wonder if they are planning something for the next few days. My gut says no, since they've been unable to accomplish anything major since 9/11, but, the ABC tape and this in the same week falls into their Islamic principles of having to warn their enemies before attacking them.

I think this may be why cbs was taking it's time on releasing the tape. Maybe they had instructions to hold off on the tape until after ubl released his but folded cause we, drudge, & fox forced their hand.
