The Threat Matrix

The title refers to a daily report given to the president of the United States detailing the most serious terrorist threats against the country. To tackle those threats, the government has formed a top-notch task force to infiltrate the terror cells and cut off the danger.

"Every morning, the president receives a list of the top ten terrorist threats - this list is known as the threat matrix."

We here at FR are trying to be in conjunction with the daily reports around the world that involve threats. We try to provide a storehouse of information that takes hours of research.

Ramadan terror concerns?
Full Story

ATLANTA (CNN) -- As more than one billion Muslims prepare to celebrate Ramadan, terror experts are mixed about whether the holy month is a tool for recruiting terrorists.

Some terrorism experts and Islamic scholars say Ramadan gives extremists an opportunity to enlist new recruits.

"It's a time which can be exploited by radical clerics to motivate individuals into taking action on the basis they are somehow serving their religion," says terror expert M.J. Gohel.

And analysts see another temptation for terrorists: exploiting the Battle of Badr, a symbolic date in Muslim history, which falls near the U.S. presidential election.

"I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat."

Thanks to grizzfan for sending me this via pm:

Excerpt from "The River War" by Winston Churchill

"How dreadful are the curses which Mohammedanism lays on its votaries!

"Besides the fanatical frenzy, which is as dangerous in a man as hydrophobia in a dog, there is this fearful fatalistic apathy.

"Improvident habits, slovenly systems of agriculture, sluggish methods of commerce, and insecurity of property exist wherever the followers of the Prophet rule or live.

"A degraded sensualism deprives this life of its grace and refinement; the next of its dignity and sanctity.

"The fact that in Mohammedan law every woman must belong to some man as his absolute property - either as a child, a wife, or a concubine - must delay the final extinction of slavery until the faith of Islam has ceased to be a great power among men.

"Individual Moslems may show splendid qualities. Thousands become the brave and loyal soldiers of the Queen: all know how to die.

"But the influence of the religion paralyses the social development of those who follow it.

"No stronger retrograde force exists in the world.

"Far from being moribund, Mohammedanism is a militant and proselytizing faith.

"It has already spread throughout Central Africa, raising fearless warriors at every step; and were it not that Christianity is sheltered in the strong arms of science - the science against which it had vainly struggled - the civilisation of modern Europe might fall, as fell the civilisation of ancient Rome."

third-, fourth- and fifth-graders...play act being Muslims...and to chant “Praise to Allah, Lord of Creation.”

Over my dead body!!!

They couldn't MAKE my third grader do or say that. She knows better. And if they try, they will witness the rath of a Christian parent!!!

They can't make my third-grader do it either, because we homeschool! Just imagine, your local elementary school trying to teach the Sermon on the Mount, or the Parables, or the 10 Commandments. It wouldn't be allowed. They'd scream to high heaven. What is this facination with Islam?

Good question, TxBluebell.

Also ... how about that site by the UK Guardian, listing NAME AND ADDRESSES of US citizens in "battle states" that UK citizens can write to and encourage to vote for John Effing Kerry.

I feel like putting my name there and writing back to the person, asking them to support Blair!

Anything new with that? I'm curious, this type of garbage doesn't make it into the regular garbage stream.

Nothing new in today's paper.

Your link for the truck accident, at the end there is a link for related items, and it had a school bus accident listed, but I couldn't open the link.

Found it thank you. Vehicle hit the school bus at an intersection. No injuries.

I need morphine not Valium after that..and if I had kids in that school district, I would be in jail and the administrators would be...somewhere else...but not on earth.

Thank God my children are in private Christian school.

God is not happy with the US, no matter what the bots might say. The left could not have done ANYthing without RINO help and collusion.

/rant over for now

Thanks Grizz.

Funny, you don't see the ACLU intervening.

myr - While the technology is *possible*, is very unlikely that BPL will ever deploy as it is not cost-effective when compared to other existing broadband technologies.

The concept was originally put forth a couple years ago as a potential means of bringing the internet to rural areas. However, an EPRI technology demonstration project showed that a repeater would be required on virtually every other power pole, so it simply does not appear to be economically feasible when compared to satellite, for example.

IMO, this tech will never see the light of day.

I haven't seen anything in the media about the acrid fumes.

This Daily Herald article is the most descriptive and it mentions a woman even smelled gas coming from the sewers. That 'might' explain the smell.

Re #1080

Read a report about that yesterday. Was too mad to post anything that would have not contained language of extreme violence.

Someone with a level head should contact the ACLU and see what they have to say about it. I'd love to see their response.

We all know this war is going to take a very long time. The communist controled NEA is letting the enemy in the back door. Doesn't bode well for our side.

Keep your powder dry. It's only a matter of time before we will be forced to fight here on our home soil.

Thanks for the report grizz. People need to know of these things. Lamestream media sure won't get this out.
