This is the second poll in a week showing Republican candidates finishing first and second place in all-party primary.

In Baldone's poll, taken Sept. 24 to 26 by The Kitchens Group of Orlando, Fla., Billy Tauzin, Jr. received 36%, Craig Romero had 17%, Damon Baldone had 9%, Charmaine Caccioppi had 6%, Charles Melancon had 4% and Kevin Chiasson had 2%. 26% were undecided.

Unfortunately, all of the undecideds are likely Democrats trying to decide which Democrat to support. From what I've seen of yard signs, Mr. Melancon is doing the best in the eastern part of the district. I suspect that he'll be in the runoff with one of the Republicans.

Yes. The latest poll shows David Vitter polling 45%, which is making the 'Rats nervous. But a runoff is still predicted.
