Undecided Voters

Beware: Political Correctness not applied

Undecided voter is a concept I cannot imagine. Every time I hear or read this term I can’t help but think of the old saying: “If you don’t stand for something, you’ll fall for anything.”

First, let’s look at the term, undecided voter. To me, this means someone with NO core beliefs; or someone who is so self-centered they can’t see past the end of their nose; or possibly someone who is a single issue voter; but definitely someone who has absolutely no business casting a ballot.

So, let’s look at the some of the issues to try to help these people out.

1…War on Terror/War in Iraq/National Security If you can’t see the whole picture or you don’t think they are related issues. If you are against the war in Iraq, then you are against the war on terror. If you don’t believe there is a war on terror then you’ve forgotten or somehow missed the falling of the Twin Towers on Sept. 11, 2001. You’ve forgotten the USS Cole, Mogadishu, Israel and many other events of horror. We didn’t pick this war, it was thrust upon us. While we’re here, let’s visit the comments Kerry has made about Bush sending our troops to war without the body armor and equipment they needed, but he fails to tell you that he and Mr. Edwards voted against the funding for those things. What kind of man would send our troops to war without what they need? Mr. Kerry wants to “prosecute” the terrorists. If you would rather we have homicide bombing at our malls and restaurants, car bombing on our streets beside school buses full of our children just like what happens in Israel on a daily basis, or school bombings like in Russia, then you should vote for Kerry or don’t vote at all. Kerry also stated in both debates that he would immediately stop the anti nuclear weapons we are developing that would be our best defense in the current climate. That leaves us with “spit balls” for defense.

If you understand the full scope of what we are dealing with for our civilization’s very survival and security of America’s shores, the freedoms we enjoy and believe in, and a future for our country. If you would rather the best and bravest military in the world take on the fanatical terror mongers in a country half way around the globe instead of on our own soil. The terrorists are many factions using many different names. Thankfully President Bush saw the wisdom in taking the war to them where they live and thrive to keep them from coming here. They are coming from countries all around Iraq to try to fight us, and we are winning big time. President Bush told us in the beginning that it would be a long, hard fought war and that he wants to hunt them down and kill them. Every young warrior we lose is one we grieve for, but they are trained for what they are doing and they go to war knowing the risks and are brave enough to stand for something they believe in and willing to die for it if necessary. They leave a great legacy. If you agree with this, then you are a Republican so vote for President Bush.

Let me clue you in on a little fact that many don’t give much thought to. If terrorism isn’t taken care of now, before it’s on our soil on a daily basis, then none of the less significant issues matter.

2…Abortion/Right to Life/Death Penalty If you are so cold hearted to believe in abortion on demand as a birth control for people who are so irresponsible as to have unprotected sex and damn the consequences, and unwilling to take responsibility for their actions, then you should vote for Kerry or not vote at all. If you believe in Late Term Abortion that is the most horrific procedure imagined and never a good reason to perform one, then you should vote for Kerry or not vote at all. If you are a bleeding heart who doesn’t believe in the Death Penalty for people who have murdered innocent people and feel they should have another chance, or death is too cruel, or it’s immoral, but thousands of innocent babies who have not had a chance to live a single day should be condemned to death, then you should vote for Kerry or not vote at all.

If you believe in the sanctity of life for the most innocent among us but condemn ruthless murders who willingly take the lives of others, then you should vote for Bush. If you believe in personal responsibility, whether it pertains to sex or murder, you should vote for Bush. Condoms are available and accessible almost everywhere you go, especially in schools. Even better is the word NO instead of free wheeling sex outside of marriage. (Women have had a choice long before abortion was legal. Women have the choice to have sex or not; women have the choice of taking precautions before having sex or not; women have the choice of having an unwanted baby or not because of the previous choices. It takes personal responsibility of making the right choice before involving an innocent person.) Granted rape does happen, but pregnancy isn’t always a result. If you have trouble understanding the convoluted moral thinking of the need for a child to have parental permission to be given an aspirin in school but doesn’t need parental involvement for an abortion, then you should vote for Bush. Side note here: if terrorism comes to our soil, rape and murder will be widespread and neither abortion nor prosecution will be an option.

3…Military Draft The rumor of a draft being reinstated have been just that, a rumor. A rumor started by Democrat friends of Kerry’s to scare our youth into voting for Kerry. Actually this same Democrat Senator who started this, wrote and submitted a Senate Bill to the Senate floor. The Republicans were the ones who brought it to a vote in order to vote it down and put a stop to this ignorance. Bush said in the second debate that there would not be a draft as long as he is President. Bush doesn’t need one because of the brave and dedicated young people who have been signing up in droves to defend their country and are proud and willing to follow this Commander in Chief. If you don’t want a draft, then vote for Bush.

Kerry on the other hand has not dismissed this idea publicly. He has said in both debates that he has a plan to add another 40,000 active duty troops to the military and double the Special Forces to help with Iraq. Hmmmm, where IS he going to get these people? I wonder, do you? Could it be through a draft! Or does he expect 40,000 people are just suddenly going to show up to enlist because he’s been elected? I don’t think so. Sounds to me like he’s the man with the “plan” to reinstate the draft. If you want the possibility of being drafted in to the military, vote for Kerry.

I could go on with issues like Taxes, Environment, Social Security, Education, Health Care, the Economy, etc., etc., that won’t mean a thing if the war on terror isn’t taken care of decisively now. With Kerry’s mentality about it, I don’t have faith that he even understands what we are dealing with. So, there you have it as I see it. Shouldn’t be too difficult to make a decision. If you are still undecided, then just don’t vote at all.

Kerry served in Viet Nam war, after seeking two deferments and being denied both times, then requested a non-combat assignment. Questions about his discharge(s) but won't make his record public. Maybe something to do with his anti-war activity while still in uniform?

Bush served in Guard, trained in fighter jets and requested a tour in Viet Nam but was refused because of the beginning of pull down of troops. Received Honorable Discharge on time.

In my opinion, if you haven't decided by now, you have no business voting.

That said, I think the "undecideds" are Kerry supporters in sheep's clothing.

Most certainly. I doubt half, if not all, of the undecideds won't bother to vote.

The undecided seniors that have (supposedly been voting for eons), it must be torture for them every election year. These are the ones, I just do not understand.

Andy Rooney addressed this last night and in spite of his politics he pretty much hit in on the head. His closing statement was, "I'm not only decided, I think that people who can’t decide which one of these two ought to be president even before they watched the debates, aren't undecided. They're stupid."

I wasn't aware of Rooney's address to this last night. But I have to agree with him.

Outstanding and spot on, great reply!

We've got to all fight right up to the end on this one...Kerry in the White House is too horrible to contemplate.

Senator Kerry, APOLOGZE NOW!.

It's hard for me to understand why the undecided have not decided by now. Maybe we should be thinking - do we need them? If they haven't understood the difference between a coward like Kerry, and a great leader like Bush, they are lost anyway.
