This is pretty ridiculous considering the cleaning out of Samarrah and Babil that was just undertaken in the last week.

But see, it proves Bush is playing politics with the War on Terror...

and, uh, Kerry has a plan...

Don't mind what's really happening only what we tell ya...

This is all for the best. The Democrats and the MSM would simply push the uptick in fighting and deaths as evidence that the war is a quagmire. That would only serve to help get Kerry elected. Wait until after Bush is elected in 3 weeks and then go all balls out to rid Iraq of the terrorists once and for all. The Democrats are merely an anchor on what needs to be done over there anyway.

Are we taking bets on how many days this latest liberal prediction goes before it is debunked by global events?!

Even if global events do debunk it, the lie will already be out there - and will be believed by Kerry voters. No matter how much fighting there is over the next three weeks, they can claim that it would have been many times worse if GWB wasn't holding back until the election. Sad that some people will believe it.

OK, I think a little more extended quote is appropriate:

The article, a largely analytical cover story in the magazine, says the interviewer asked Kerry "what it would take for Americans to feel safe again."

''We have to get back to the place we were, where terrorists are not the focus of our lives, but they're a nuisance,'' the article states as the Massachusetts senator's reply.

''As a former law enforcement person, I know we're never going to end prostitution. We're never going to end illegal gambling. But we're going to reduce it, organized crime, to a level where it isn't on the rise. It isn't threatening people's lives every day, and fundamentally, it's something that you continue to fight, but it's not threatening the fabric of your life.''

It's frankly a leap to go from this position: that the terrorist threat can be reduced, like organized crime and illegal gambling, to the level of a manageable nuisance, is not the same thing as saying that terrorism is at a nuisance level.

Kerry is a horrible choice to fight the war on terror. But it doesn't help the cause to twist the man's words like this. It will only work on people who don't RTFU.

Why would you wait until after the election to make actual headway in Iraq. Wouldn't that help the Kerry campaign gain some traction at the polls? That headline is absurd. I wonder if some of these people use their entire brain or they just "use the Force".

If there is any truth to this, someone is spilling classified information. Telling the enemy what we plan to do and when gets soldiers killed.

Is this the same LA Times that tried to smear Arnold before the recall last year? The same LA Times that polled Arnold having only 23% and he got almost 50% in the end? The same LA Times that makes Jayson Blair and the NY Times look decent? John Nance Garner's "warm pitcher of spit" is more relevant than the LA Times these days.

Prostitution and organized crime is detrimental in many ways, especially to the perpetrators and collaborators.

Terrorism's purpose and result is the tortuous, mass murder of innocents --which is why Alan Keyes (and unspun) have included abortion in the realm of terrorism. Someone should alert the Democratic Party.

The most terrorized place in America is a mother's womb

So Drudge and the LA Times are giving info our enemy.

It used to be called

"Giving Aid and Comfort to the enemy"

Now it's called media bias.

Oh wait, it's the same thing!

Watch how the TV and Cable newsrooms spin this.
