You're not going to see this in the MSM. John Kerry nor John Edwards have been wihtin Milwaukee city limits since August 2, the date of the infamous Kerry "goon squad" comment and Theresa Heinz Kerry's "Four More Years of Hell" remark. After the rude awakening given to Edwards by the "goon squad" of several hundred Marquette University College Republicans and young enterprenurial professionals this Saturday night, they may reconsider ever setting foot in Milwaukee again.
John Edwards was overnighting at the Milwaukee Hilton as part of a visit to Milwuakee to speak at an African-American church this Sunday morning. Also that weekend was a gathering of a few thousand young enterprenurs at the Midwest Airlines Center across the street for a weekend convention. Once the Marquette CRs and these enterprenurs got wind of the Senator's presence, the decision was made to give Edwards a "rude awakening" and reaffirm once and for all that Milwaukee was Bush/Cheney country.
At the stroke of midnight, the rally began coming together. Over 50 Marquette University College Republicans, armed with hundreds of Bush placards and stickers, their famous W flag, and the infamous bullhorn, greeted the young professionals outside of the Midwest Airlines Center. After arming the crowd with their signs and stickers, the W flag led the way down Wisconsin Ave. to the north side of the Milwaukee Hilton.
For 15 minutes, the Milwaukee Hilton and downtown Milwaukee were rocked by several hundred Bush supporters. After giving Senator a hearty "Welcome to Bush-Cheney Country," the Marquette CRs with their bullhorn led the crowd in chants of "Four more years", "Flip Flop", "USA", "Flush the Johns", and "Wake up Senator".
The crowd reaction was curious to say the least, but mainly positive to say the least. Some passerbys looked on in curiosity, while others saw the crowd and joined on in. Many drivers honked their horns in support of us as they drove by. An occasional Kerry supporter would either walk or drive by shouting an obsenity or two towards us. About 5 minutes into the rally, two Milwaukee police cars, one marked and one unmarked squad, parked themselves out in front of the Hilton and officers conversed with each other. However, after about two minutes of consultation, the cops pulled away in opposite directions and did nothing.
After about 15 minutes, the Hilton manager came out to request that we stop. Apparently, while Senator Edwards was on the 6th floor of the Hilton, the front desk said that our rally could be heard all the way up on the 18th floor. By this time, it was roughly 12:40, and we had gotten our point across, so we ended our rally, and the Marquette CRs headed back to Marquette and the young professionals headed to the Hilton to continue their evening.
All in all, an incredibly successful evening. Here's a picture of the festivities in action, and if you want to see more, click through to the photo gallery on MURepublcans.com.

Welcome aboard and well done!
Congratulations on an evening well managed. Unlike the THUGS of the demoncrat party, you displayed MANNERS, DECENCY and RESPECT. Of course, the "elitist media" will be denouncing your activities while IGNORING the REAL thugs from the dnc.
Heheheh. Thanks!
I am so proud of all of you. You all must really care what kind of country we will have when you have children. I couldn't see the picture either but went to your site.
Welcome, good work done, and keep it up!
It's nice knowing WI is headed down the right path.
I'm thrilled to hear some intelligent discourse vs. drivel coming from our higher educational institutions. Congrats and welcome to the world's most intellectually stimulating forum of mostly conservatives.
Excellent FREEP by the Marquette CR - you guys are great!!
