233 members of Congress have visited the troops in Iraq so far.
One hundred ninety-one were House members:
121 Republicans, and 70 Democrats.
Forty-two were senators: 24 Republicans and 18 Dems.
Eight senators have made two trips, and one has made three.
Neither Kerry nor Edwards has taken time away from manicures, hairstyling appointments, and campaign stops
to talk to the men and women who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq
and to see the facts on the ground.
That's leadership for you.

I thought in one of his interviews after locking up the nomination, Kerry said he had gone to Iraq. [That interview would have been months ago.]
[Maybe I am thinking of his saying he was 'there' for the end of Gulf War 1.]
They take out too many innocents for me to want to completely understand their truth either. There are plenty of people, countries, cultures that can be reasoned with, but not terrorists.
In response to your tagline...If you had the record that John Kerry does in the Senate, wouldn't YOU try to run on someone else's record? I would.
Neither was present to vote to make the tax cuts for the middle class permanent, yet still claim they are for middle class tax cuts. Cheney pointed this out in the debate with Edwards. Bush should have done the same to Kerry.
The democrats had better start looking for some people with those qualities, and stop pandering to the far left of their constituency, before they find themselves without a chance of even organizing a Filibuster that can't be voted down. Not to mention possessing the keys to the White House would not be surprised to see some of the moderate democrats from the South break away from the extreme liberals who now set their agenda. Tom Daschle and Nancy Pelosi have taken their Party so far to the left, that I doubt they can recover. When Nancy Pelosi takes to the Microphone, whatever is left of the Communists across the Globe must stand up and cheer
How can you reason with a creed that exalts death?
I get angry when innocents are hurt or killed. I get incensed when it's children. *sadly* I just don't understand.
Kerry did say in this last debate that he met with all the members of the UN Security Council the week before we went into Iraq [shades of his meetings in Paris 35 years ago].
No one called him on that. What was his 'authority' for doing so?
Did he really meet with them, or is this another fabrication? Kerry has been caught telling so many whoppers, fibs, lies, that one has to question each thing he says.
Saw a joke somewhere about Pelosi - next facelift and she will have a goatee!
John Kerry is so skinny he has to tease his hair to keep his panties up.
I just see it as a great photo op for Kerry.
This is the salute that POS(Kerry) will get from our brave troopers.
You nailed that quite well.
The democrats will do what political parties do, though. When the message is unpalatable to "the unwashed masses", they tweak the message until they are acceptable again. However, it's not so much the message that worries me, it's the core-beliefs, ie "The U.S. is at fault for everything".
I'm a middle-class white male, and frankly, I'm tired of everything being my fault.
Okay, I promise not to whine anymore.
I read the transcripts again and I could not find anything that he said he went to iraq. He said he went to Kyoto, perhaps that is what you meant
ROFLMAO
One time she tried to blink and her boob hit her in the eye.
"KERRY: I didn't say necessarily the Kurds. There are other members of the opposition. There are people who are outside the country prepared to go in. There are others inside the country. And I believe -- I mean, I was in Safwan. I went there when the signing of the armistice took place at the end of the war."
I read that Kerry even took the press with him one day to buy a jock strap for Gosh sakes. So you know if he was ever visiting the troops at any hospital there would have been pictures.
I thought I heard Kerry say in an interview (right after he locked up the primaries wins to ensure his nomination) several months ago that he had gone to Iraq.
Oh that is a different transcript. I meant the one from the debate
Oh, this is from a transcript of Kerry's interview by O'Reilly in 2001, sometime after 9-11, which was replayed on FoxNews recently.
