233 members of Congress have visited the troops in Iraq so far.
One hundred ninety-one were House members:
121 Republicans, and 70 Democrats.
Forty-two were senators: 24 Republicans and 18 Dems.
Eight senators have made two trips, and one has made three.
Neither Kerry nor Edwards has taken time away from manicures, hairstyling appointments, and campaign stops
to talk to the men and women who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq
and to see the facts on the ground.
That's leadership for you.

Yeah, but they have a plan. They know everything wrong there and they can fix it.
/sarcasm
"War hero" Kerry suddenly a case of the nerves when confronted with visiting a war zone. After all, what's more important, visiting our troops in Iraq or getting a $3,000.00 manicure?
Hmm. Desperation or apathy. I think if I had to, I'd rather look desperate than apathetic.
In the Kerry supporters own words about the Swift Boat Vets
"They weren't there. They have no room to talk!"
No one said they had guts.
No snob salons in Iraq to his hair and nails.
Hmmm...how can you call something a 'MESS', 'FAILURE' or 'QUAGMIRE' when you've NEVER been there to SEE it with your OWN eyes??
America also needs to be reminded of Bonior and McDermott's treason before the war. While typing their names out, I thought about something: could they have been implicated in the Oil For Food Scandal?
LOL! Did I mention they spent that night in the Honey Moon Suite???
Oh no. Please don't go there. I'll have nightmares!
The DNC has already fielded this attack, according to the Kerry's spokesperson:
"Kerry has always said, recently, that it was the wrong war at the wrong time and that he DID fly over to Iraq, he just landed in the wrong place at the wrong time and saw something from a distance that looked convincingly like the wrong war. Besides that there is no plan to win the peace. He has a plan."
An interesting point Tonk
But let Kerry cut his own throat ;^)
Maybe this is Kerry's "October surprise"? He unveils the details to all these "plans" on Nov. 1., hoping that no one can debunk them in time for election. He can show he has a detailed plan and there won't be time for a rebut. I'm not really a conspiracy theorist. Honest!
I just noticed you are brand new here, Ron. Welcome aboard-hope you find a home here.
I heard that O'Reilly has an old interview with Kerry where he says that he was at the signing of the cease-fire in Iraq after the first Gulf War. A blogger thought that would be odd considering he voted AGAINST that war so he checked and sure enough Kerry was at some social occasion in New York the night before the signing and at some other party the day after the signing. Does this guy have to take credit for being everywhere at all times, suggested every piece of legislation that came up in the Senate and has he instructed Bush personally on EVERY thing that Bush has done wrong (after Kerry told him the RIGHT way to do it)? Compulsive liar - that is a neurosis/character flaw.
Yet Kerry was calling Allawi a liar, Kerry claims to know more about what's really going on in Iraq, than Allawi.
Thank you for the welcome. My first day. Tough to keep up, but I'm really enjoying myself.
LOL! Very interesting you Smartass! But I prefer to think of those half asses as all ass.
