The wisdom mothers have been dispensing for ages - wash your hands, eat your vegetables, go to bed earlier - turns out to be great advice for avoiding the flu.
Doctors and nutritionists say careful hygiene, a balanced diet and plenty of rest and fluids can go a long way toward keeping people healthy during the influenza season, especially considering this year's vaccine shortage.
"Taking care of yourself from a health standpoint is probably the best thing you can do," said Dr. R. Michael Gallagher, a family physician and dean of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's School of Osteopathic Medicine.
"People who are run down, they're overworked, not getting proper rest or proper nutrition, these people increase their risk" of illness, he said.

Good Hygiene prevents the flu?

I thought of you reading this.
My children have not been sick at all since I pulled them out of public school.
My daughter's teacher was wonderful with handwashing, cleaning with anti-bacterial wipes and general germ killing. My daughter still missed 37 days in Kindergarten.
Dad's at work, Mom's at work, baby in daycare and kid in Kindergarten makes for a giant bag of germs in public school.

That's Middle East beauty when you remove the veil and put on some decent makeup and get educated. :-)

I think shes married now though...
I will trade all of my Camels and half of my goats for her hand in marriage.
May I come to witness the event :-)
Drink nice herbal teas, keep your immune system strong with lots of garlic and onions, etc.
Keep those hands washed and do not rub your face when out in public.
I worked as a waitress 5 years. I went from cold to cold couldn't figure out why I was sick all the time. Started washing my hands, refrained from touching my face for any reason with my hands, and the colds finally went away, thank God.
