Good one. The first bite or two sounded a lot like Kerry, but whoever did it couldn't hold onto the impression. Close but no cigar. (Oops, must be a holdover from the Clinton administration.)

Wow I haven't thought of Long John for years. As a kid he'd keep me up nights with his UFO nuts and their wild, but seemingly believable stories. Of course he's best known for claiming that his wife Candy Jones was taken by the CIA, hypnotized and drugged, and given a second personality who acted as a courier and maybe killer, for the Agency whenever she received the programmed stimulus.
LJN was one unusual guy and that Kerry would call him when he was doing overnights ona 250 watt WMCA whose signal barely made it to Queens is equally weird.
