Hello, Gender Gap; Friday night in St. Louis, George W. Bush hurt himself with women.

Interesting! On CNN of all networks, they had a 24 person panel where Bush categorically did about as well as he could have done with the women "undecideds" with one even saying that she was slightly leaning Kerry prior to the debate but now was solidly Bush.

The panel was in Ohio and about 2/3 of the "undecideds" raised their hands when asked if this debate had made up their minds. That's good for Bush. B/c the evasive non-question answering Kerry certainly didn't win any votes last night.

So this oped is likely nonsense.

"It's very much worth remembering, in fact, how aggressively male a domain cable television is. The worst moment, when Bush just clearly behaved like a rude jerk, came at 9:36 p.m. Eastern Standard Time, when Charlie Gibson was trying to ask him a follow-up and Bush brusquely waved him off, interrupted, and charged forward and started yelping about Tony Blair. It was witnessing this moment that made me start to think about women viewers. But Chris Matthews, naturally, thought it was great. Which makes me think I'm on to something."

He may have the equipment but that is where the similarities end.
Substitute gloria stymed for tomansky and I doubt anyone would notice.

This boy is the poster child for the feminazis dream man, and proud of it.

"I am extremely upset over the comment about creating "maternity group homes". I do not want women to return to 1950. This may change my vote entirely. I cannot support anyone who seeks to reverse women's rights and that is what I heard President Bush saying last night. Tell me I'm wrong."

OK, you're wrong! The alternative to killing innocent life is to support the mother to term, and either get her on her feet or aid in adoption (which needs to be streamlined as the President pointed out).

State-sanctioned abortion needs to be offset by state-support of the saving of life and adoption. I would prefer public-private partnerships as has been popular in many states, counties, and towns, but the killing of the innocent needs to be balanced by an attempt to give a life a chance. That is compassionate conservatism!

If this is the issue that would turn your vote for President, then I think you not only should vote for Kerry, but try DU rather than Free Republic.

What a crock of bologna. I think it takes a special kind of metrosexual person to understand just what women feel and how they think. From my standpoint John sKerry is the real phony. If you listened to him last night he had the perfect answer to everything that Bush said. No one is 100% right and sKerry was way short of insuring my worries about the future of this country. When it comes down to the finish it just is not Iraq or domestic policies that worry me the most. John sKerry is going to take this country is the wrong direction. A direction that we may not be able to fix for many years to come. John sKerry just has a real credibility gap. He will tell you anything you want to hear.

Not every woman wants to kill her baby. Some would love to have a safe place to stay. You seem to think that "group home" means all unwed mothers will be shuttled off to a home. Far from it, it is an offer of saftey and companionship to women who don't want abortions but would otherwise have no other alternative.

If you believe in "choice" I assume you would have no objection to a woman having more than one choice.

Of course, I'm guessing, and I have no actual idea whether I'm right.

As a woman I can assure him that in this instance he is suffering from cranial rectal inversion.

My mom and I were both watching and my moms only comment at the end was, "He should have hit him harder. Bush was being far too nice."

I suppose you are also one of those who accuses Bush of killing babies in Iraq. Sure. Uh hmmm.

This may change my vote entirely.

Sure. Uh hmmm.

This may change my vote entirely.

Then you'll be voting for President Bush, right?

Well THIS woman stood up and cheered at points. Bush made Kerry look like a defensive arrogant wimp.

And anyone who is willing to stand up to "the halls of Europe" must have a little swagger. And what's with this "screaming???" And did you see the women in the audience swarm to see the President afterwards?

BTW, Carolinian, maternity homes USUALLY assist women in getting their children adopted...as opposed to murdered.

I would like to understand your objection to maternity 'group' homes. I don't think anyone would be forced to inhabit them. I think of the 70% unwed mother rate for black american females. Many of them would be safer, nurtured, healthier if they had a secure place to carry their baby to term. That is not to say it is only a black american problem. I see it as an option for all races who find themselves in this often difficult situation. It is an option to abortion.

'Charlie Gibson was trying to ask him a follow-up and Bush brusquely waved him off, interrupted, and charged forward and started yelping about Tony Blair.'

THAT'S when I started clapping...

Women get upset seeing sKerry tell practiced lie after lie and Bush not have the time/opportunity to respond in these debates...
W has 70 % of women votes, I'll bet
